Week's free trial
Week's free trial
ReliabilityI signed up for a week's free trial recently and ran into some issues with the auto-renewal feature. Even though I turned it off in my account settings and double-checked the expiry date, the auto-renewal somehow turned back on and charged me for another year's membership. I contacted customer service, not expecting much in terms of a refund, but to my surprise, they quickly refunded the payment without any trouble. While I'm grateful for the outcome, it seems like this problem happens often based on reviews I've read online. It would be helpful for them to fix this issue and make sure that account settings stay accurate to avoid similar situations in the future.

ReliabilityI signed up for a free trial just like a lot of other folks, eh. I made sure to cancel the auto-renewal right away. But even then, I got an email saying thanks for renewing my subscription. Just a heads up - always take screenshots of your cancellation confirmation so you don't get hit with any surprise charges, eh.

ReliabilityI had a bit of a scare with a free trial I signed up for on a research platform. Even though I made sure it wouldn't renew automatically and checked my account, I found out I was still going to get charged once the trial was over. Luckily, I cancelled right away and got an email confirming it. It just goes to show we need to stay on top of things and take action ourselves to avoid any surprise charges with free trials.
