Purchased holiday market items
I've been a customer for a while and I was really let down by the wrong info the customer service folks gave me about where the holiday market was at Pembroke Lakes Mall. I wasted a bunch of time and energy looking for it, and when I finally reached out to their customer service, all I got was a basic apology email with no offer to make things right. This lack of care and bad communication has got me thinking about whether I want to keep supporting this brand.
Got charged double
I thought I was getting a great deal, but they ended up charging me double what was listed on the website. I sent them an email asking about it, but they never replied. I usually buy things from them every Christmas, but after this mess, I'm never shopping there again! It's not right to overcharge me like that 🤬.
Gift basket purchased
They used to be great, but now the online orders are brutal. It takes forever for them to ship stuff out and you don't even get tracking info most of the time. No compensation for their screw-ups. I placed an order a month ago and still haven't received anything. Customer service is lousy.
Cheese and sausage gift basket
I bought a cheese and sausage gift basket from this company and it was so tasty. The quality was even better than I expected and it made a great holiday gift. But now I keep getting a ton of junk mail from them, even though I've tried to get off their mailing list multiple times. It's really disappointing that they're not respecting my wishes, it kind of ruins the good experience I had with their products.
Cheese and Summer Sausage purchase
My recent experience with this company was pretty disappointing, eh. I used to really enjoy their products back in the day, but now I gotta admit the quality has really gone downhill. The cheese tasted kinda like cheap plastic, and the summer sausage was just okay. It seems like they're more focused on saving money than on giving their customers top-notch products. I miss the old days when Hickory Farms actually cared about making customers happy instead of just making as much money as possible.
Gift basket purchase for Valentine's Day
I bought a gift basket for Valentine's Day and it was not what I expected. The portions were smaller than I thought, and I couldn't really tell from the online photos. When I contacted customer service by email, they were rude and not helpful. I called about getting pretzels instead of chocolate drizzled popcorn, and the rep was dismissive and condescending. It was a disappointing experience overall.
Mixed nuts and gourmet cheese sampler
As someone who loves food, I was really disappointed with the mixed nuts and gourmet cheese sampler I bought. The nuts were stale and didn't taste very good, and the cheese was bland and artificial. It's too bad how this company that used to have a good reputation has let the quality of their products go downhill like this.
Frustrating customer service
I had a really bad time at this store. I tried to call about my order, but their automated service wasn't working. I sent them several emails, but never heard back. In the end, I had to cancel my order because it never got shipped, and still got no response. To top it off, a week later, they told me my expedited shipment was finally on its way. I tried to reach out again, but, surprise surprise, got no response. The lack of communication and poor customer service really bothered me. I won't be dealing with this company again, and I've already talked to my credit card company about it.
Christmas gift box
The stuff they've been selling has been getting worse over time. The Christmas gift box I got from a family member had stuff in it that was already expired. And don't get me started on their customer service - it basically doesn't even exist.
