Centauro Rent a Car - Reviews and experiences

I first spotted Centauro’s cheap rates on a travel forum and my friend actually told me to try them — figured, great deal, booked and prepaid. I reserved a car for five days in Milan, paid up front and showed up at the desk right on time. That’s where the whole thing went sideways. They refused to give me the car and cited some mismatch between the issue date and the qualification date on my licence. It sounded technical and, to be honest, like a made-up rule. I’ve rented in Italy and elsewhere with the same licence without any trouble. To check it, I walked straight to Avis Budget and they rented me a car on the spot with zero questions (no reservation). So it wasn’t my licence.
