Was sitting with my phone and coffee when I realized my account was frozen right after I opened a dispute for a transfer that never went through. The weird part was they didn’t try to walk me through anything — just a locked account and radio silence. I tried chat and phone, got polite but unhelpful replies, people who sounded like they were reading a script. Delivery-wise the money never arrived so that part failed, and their follow-up was worse. Compared to other services I've used, this felt like being punished for asking for a refund. Honestly, had better luck elsewhere, so I’ll be switching — not happy about it.

Honestly, I'm done with MoneyGram — wouldn't trust them for anything important. The app itself is fine for quick transfers, so that's why I'm not totally deleting it, but the way they shut my account was a mess. There was a bank error (not my doing) and instead of letting me explain, they just closed it with no real appeal. I even had a $33 payment that went to the wrong account; they said they'd escalate it twice and then nothing happened. Felt like they were just checking boxes and hoping I'd go away. The reps were brusque and not interested in fixing things, which was frustrating. If you only need a fast, tiny transfer and don't expect help if stuff goes wrong, it works okay. But if you might need support, look elsewhere — find a remittance service with real customer care. Wish they had a proper phone line or at least a decent review process. I probably won't use them again, but hey, maybe your experience will be different.

So, I had to give them a call because my email address was causing me major trouble. I couldn't get a new account set up that day, but then a few days later, I ended up getting an email with a link to finish the setup. It pretty much felt like magic! Haha.
