TransferWise

Previously international money transfer was not as easy as it seems now, this is because people still depended on local banks to transfer funds to their loved ones in the diaspora. But with the introduction of platforms and apps that help in pushing funds abroad for loved ones, it seems the problem has been solved. There are many apps and online platforms that claim that they help people move funds to their loved ones abroad, one of such apps and platforms is the TransferWise app. You may want to check them out. You will see honest and real-life TransferWise customer reviews here.

About TransferWise
Wise was allegedly launched in 2011 with the vision of making international money transfers cheap, fair, and simple. They assert that today, their multi-currency account helps over 10 million people and businesses manage their money across the world. The firm's history started with two friends who were from Estonia. Travel, who was allegedly the first employee at Skype, lived in London but got paid in euros. Kristo worked for Deloitte, also lived in London, and got paid in pounds. But they claimed he had a mortgage in euros back in Estonia.

The firm alleged that the two friends both moved their money with their banks — which had expensive fees and bad exchange rates. This allegedly pained them and they knew there had to be a better way. So they put their heads together and invented a beautifully simple workaround.

TransferWise asserts that each month, their founders looked up the real exchange rate on Reuters. Taavet put his euros into Kristo’s Estonian bank account, and Kristo topped up Taavet’s UK account with his pounds. They claim that both got the currency they needed almost instantly, and neither paid an extra cent on bad exchange rates or unreasonable charges.

They argued that there was no waiting, no stress, and no extra cost. So they started a company, called TransferWise, and allegedly hired a team to build the best way to send money between countries.

TransferWise maintained that as they grew, they realized that people needed more than just money transfers. So they added a multi-currency account, a debit card, and a business account, and changed their name to Wise. They argue that customers can sign up with them to start sending, spending, and receiving money internationally.

Services of TransferWise
TransferWise alleges that they are authorized by the Financial Conduct Authority under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011, Firm Reference 900507, for the issuing of electronic money. They boast of offering services like helping people manage their money internationally more cheaply, quickly, and transparently.

The firm alleges that over 10 million people now trust them to move more than £5 billion every month, which saves them £3 million in bank fees every day. With the Wise account, they allegedly hold balances in over 55 currencies and use debit cards to shop and spend while abroad.

TransferWise maintains that they have partnered with banks and companies like Monzo, Bolt, and GoCardless, to bring their customers better international banking. And people like Richard Branson, and PayPal co-founder Max Levchin, among others, have allegedly invested in their vision. TransferWise asserts that Like their customers, they’ve become a bit more global. They claim to have opened 17 offices, with over 2,800 employees.  They maintain that they are just what customers need when their mission is building money without borders.
