you expect a reservation to mean something concrete, but here it felt like a paper promise that vanished. I phoned customer service right away; after a while they "fixed" it by sending me to another place (again not the one I had booked), so I spent hours back-and-forth on calls and on the street. The staff I did get were polite enough, but nobody could actually sort it or transfer me to someone with authority. No supervisor, no refund, just repeated rebookings to wrong properties. I’ve used other booking sites before and usually it’s smoother — this was messy, slow and a bit careless. Emotionally it drained me that afternoon; I wasted time and money and still had to negotiate the stay when I should've been resting.

call the hotel after booking and keep receipts. Not perfect, but doable with care.
