Booking experience
I recently had a frustrating experience with booking a hotel through a comparison website. At first, everything seemed good as I rated hotels and earned commissions. However, as I kept rating more properties, I noticed a problem. The numbers started to go up, showing a negative balance. To fix this, I had to match the amount to be able to withdraw funds. Now, I'm dealing with a lack of communication as both websites are not responding. I've contacted Wise about the transactions, but haven't heard back from Action Fraud since November. If anyone has tips on how to get my money back, please let me know.
Barbados hotel booking nightmare
I booked a hotel in Barbados using HotelsCombined and got a good deal at a specific hotel. Everything seemed fine until I gave the hotel a call to double-check my reservation yesterday. To my surprise, I found out that the booking was actually made in January but was canceled by the hotel in March without letting me know. They took my money and left me empty-handed. HotelsCombined basically said it wasn't their problem since they're just a search platform. Definitely won't be using that site again - they don't take responsibility or seem trustworthy at all.
Hotel room price comparison
So, I was looking for a sick hotel room for my next trip, eh, and I found this amazing website that compares prices from different sites, eh. But, get this? The prices were way off, like, totally off. I thought I was snagging this swanky deluxe room for 18 pounds, but when I clicked the link, it was actually 30 pounds, eh! And it's not just a fluke, it keeps on happening. Not cool, eh.
Scam web contact
Oh my goodness, the online platform I signed up for to make some extra money ended up being a complete scam! In the beginning, I was able to make some easy cash, but then they kept asking for more money in order for me to withdraw my earnings. I ended up losing thousands of dollars to these scammers. Just a heads up, be careful and don't get caught up in it!
Incorrect rates issue
I’ve been using this website quite a bit, eh? Lately though, I’ve noticed that the rates they show aren’t always accurate. Sometimes the rate they show as the best one ends up being higher than what they actually said. Also, other sites tack on extra charges like taxes, which means the final price ends up being way more than I expected. It’s kind of disappointing to see the accuracy of this search engine go downhill like this, you know? It used to be pretty reliable.
Untrustworthy website experience
My experience with a travel booking website has been absolutely terrible. I got scammed by a popular platform that switched to a new website. They asked for a lot of money to do a supposed important task, making me really unsure about trusting them again. Now, I'm wondering if I should put in more money to get my money back. Can you help me figure out what to do next?
Lack of Hotel Reviews on Site
Hey HotelsCombined, eh? Where can I find all the hotel reviews, eh? I always check online reviews before booking a hotel, and gotta say your site needs some work in that department. It's pretty frustrating not having enough reviews to properly compare hotels.
Online booking experience
I totally got scammed when I was booking a hotel online. I was checking out a few fancy hotels, and then all of a sudden my bank account was in the red. Luckily, I didn't have enough money in there to cover it, so I realized something fishy was going on. I contacted WISE and they managed to get back half of the money that was taken from me, and they're still working on getting the rest. I also reported the whole thing to action fraud.
Inquiry about refund process
Hey there! I was wondering about the whole refund process you talked about. I tried to get one from the service provider, but they said no. Can you help me out with that?
Cryptocurrency scam through hotel reviews
Hey everyone, just wanted to share a cautionary tale about a scam I got caught up in while reading hotel reviews online. I ended up losing a big chunk of cash, a whopping £10k, and getting help or support from banks or websites has been a total nightmare. The scammers have shifted to a new site, orbitz.com, and wiped out my account and any evidence of our conversations. Be sure to stay vigilant and save screenshots of any exchanges you have with customer service. Stay safe out there!
Hotel booking
My experience with HotelsCombined was quite the rollercoaster, eh? From the first search for a hotel all the way to actually booking it, there were some frustrating moments and some times where I felt relieved. The platform itself was pretty easy to navigate, with a simple layout that made it easy to compare prices and availability. But, there were moments when the search results weren't exactly what I was hoping for, which caused some confusion and wasted a bit of time. In the end, I did find a decent hotel at a good price, but the whole process could have been a tad smoother, y'know?
Hotel booking
I booked a hotel through this platform for a weekend getaway and man, was I ever disappointed with the whole experience! The room was nothing like the pictures online - it was old, dirty, and definitely not worth the price we shelled out. And to top it off, the hotel staff were no help at all and didn't seem to care about giving good customer service. All in all, it was a big letdown and I wouldn't suggest using this platform for booking hotels.
Job offer inquiry
Hey there, just wanted to chat about something I received recently. Got this job offer from a website for an "online hotel assistant" position and it caught my eye. But truth be told, I'm feeling a bit doubtful about it. Just thought I’d double-check with you to see if it's for real or if it might be a scam of some sort. Any input you can give me on this would be a big help. Thanks so much.
Holiday booking through a dodgy site
I just got back from Koh Samui and man, it was a total disaster! We used Hotels Combined to book our hotel but when we arrived, they told us our reservation got cancelled a month ago. Now we're out of funds and no one is willing to assist us. Hotels Combined is a total scam, eh!
Big scam, blocked account, no money received
This whole thing is a total scam. Can you believe they had the nerve to freeze my account because they said there was "bot traffic"? I showed them proof that my ads were legit from Google and Facebook but they didn't care. They just ignored me and shut down my account. And to make it worse, I never got the money I was owed. It was a total nightmare dealing with them. I want to warn everyone to be careful with this service. It's not worth the trouble.
Hotel booking
My time using this hotel booking website wasn't great, to be honest. I had a hard time figuring out the website, and it was frustrating to look for good deals. The prices didn't always match up with what I saw on other sites. Plus, the customer service wasn't great - they took forever to get back to me. Overall, I didn't have a very positive experience with this website.
Hotel booking rate discrepancy
I recently booked a hotel through HotelsCombined, and I gotta say, I was pretty let down by the whole thing. I made sure to double check the price they quoted me, making sure it covered all taxes and was in the right currency. But when I saw my credit card statement, turns out they double charged me for taxes and added an extra conversion fee, which ended up costing me more than I thought. The hotel I booked was Orchard Parade in Singapore, and to top it off, the booking was non-refundable. This whole ordeal made me feel like I got taken advantage of, and I just want to warn others about my experience before they book with HotelsCombined.
Customer satisfaction
I had a rough time with this online hotel booking site that didn't live up to what they promised. I saw a bunch of bad reviews, so I tried out HotelsCombined instead. They came through for me, fixing the problem and making sure I was happy as a customer. Their customer service was top-notch and they really went the extra mile to keep me satisfied. I'll for sure be using them again next time I need to book a hotel.
Quick and easy comparison
I found the best deal for my hotel stay by comparing prices on different websites. The website was easy to use and had all the info I needed on each hotel. It was so handy to have all my options in one place.
