Good idea, annoying loopholes
Good idea, annoying loopholes
TrackingHonestly, I like the concept and it’s been useful at times — I use it every day to keep tabs on my kid during school runs and after practice — but it’s not the full solution I hoped for. Setup was a pain but doable, and when the blocks worked I felt a bit of relief. Then a few weeks in I catch him watching YouTube even though the app and browsers were supposedly blocked. Turns out tapping the weather opens something called “Google At A Glance” that doubles as a browser and won’t block. Tracking’s been spotty too, more miss than hit. I’m paying a monthly fee and that stings because key features are easy to work around. Still, the idea is solid and when parts work it’s handy — just needs fixes for the browser loophole and the tracking to be reliable.
