Not what I expected, but happy in the end

Returns & Refunds

actually pretty nice in the hand. The finish feels solid, screen is crisp enough for streaming, and the battery lasts a good chunk of the day with normal use. Camera isn't flagship level but takes decent snaps of the kids. The annoying bit was the back-and-forth with support after I wanted to return it; slow replies and a couple of extra hoops. I’ve had worse experiences with other shops, so I wasn’t surprised, but it tested my patience. After a few reminders they finally handled the refund and the whole mess was closed. Not flawless, but the device itself performs well for the price and once the admin was sorted I ended up satisfied. Would I order again? Maybe — I’d double-check delivery times and keep tracking emails handy.

Good idea, shaky follow-up

Returns & Refunds

pairing kept dropping, features were hit-or-miss, and the battery died well before he got home. I messaged support a few times via the app and their site — honestly, maybe nine messages in total — and got radio silence. That lack of any reply is what bothered me most. I returned it with recorded delivery and Royal Mail shows it arrived at their end on Jan 6, yet there's still no acknowledgement and no refund. The device does the basics when it works — calls and location sometimes work — so it's not useless, but it's unreliable for a school day and the after-sale silence leaves you uneasy. My advice: if you try one, send returns tracked, keep proof, and be ready to chase. A quick reply from customer service would have made all the difference.

Billing confusion, trust shaken

Price

the billing is a mess and I can't trust them. I bought the watch for my kid because I needed a simple tracker after a bad day last year when they wandered off at a park. The confirmation email that came with activation specifically said "Xplora Basic 12 Months upfront." I checked the emails, twice. Months later support says something else — now they claim it was a €7.99 monthly plan. No invoices showed up between August 2025 and January 2026. Then a single invoice appears for January. That pattern doesn't add up. Either it was treated as paid up front or they changed the contract retroactively. I shouldn't have to argue with the company's own written confirmation to prove what I bought. It's frustrating and inconvenient. The watch itself works fine, so I have mixed feelings, but the billing issue overshadows everything. I want a clear, written resolution before I'd consider recommending them again.

Surprisingly handy wristmate

Product

the SIM was blocked a couple of times and it started acting up charging-wise after a while, which was annoying. I’ve had worse luck with other cheap trackers before, so I was braced for more drama. Still, for day-to-day use it’s been great — simple calls, quick texts, and a location ping that actually helps me breathe a bit easier when she’s at school. The kids at school joked about how it looks at first, but that stopped when it worked reliably. I’m honestly glad we stuck with it; not flawless, you’ll have to tinker now and then, but overall it gives us the peace of mind we wanted and that matters more than looks.
