Keys-in-hand awkwardness
Keys-in-hand awkwardness
ServiceI'm standing outside with my keys, kind of relieved I didn't buy anything, when the alarm goes off and this guard walks up like I'm in a crime show. First time at the Stratford branch and I was just wandering the aisles — honestly I get nervous shopping alone, so I was already on edge. The guard immediately assumed I’d taken something, even though lots of people were around, and that made me feel really watched. Kinda ruined the evening. To be fair, the store itself had decent stuff and was easy to navigate, so it's not all bad, but the way I was singled out was the big issue. If security smiled or said hi more, it would make a huge difference. Not perfect, but I might go back — careful this time.
Pleasant surprise from the parcel
Pleasant surprise from the parcel
ProductI tore into the box the day it arrived and right away I was poking at the dresses — the cotton blend felt soft, light and actually hung nicely on me. I’d bought from their Singapore store before, so I expected similar, and on first try the fit and finish were pleasant. One frock had a small seam issue though; I messaged customer service and they replied quickly, polite and sorted it without drama. Their English was clear and the whole back-and-forth felt friendly. Pretty happy overall — will keep buying online and pop in-store when I can.
Jacket surprised me, in a good way
Jacket surprised me, in a good way
ProductI first noticed this jacket on a colleague’s commute and a friend nudged me to buy it online. I was sceptical — shipping from overseas and all that — but went ahead. The fabric is lighter than I expected, more like thin nylon on the outside, but it’s insulated enough to keep me warm on chilly walks. Sleeves fit well, pockets are deep enough for my phone, zipper feels a bit stiff at first but smooths out after a couple uses. It arrived squashed in a ball — annoying — but a day on a hanger and it bounced back. The return rules are confusing (China or Nebraska, at your cost), which still bugs me, but since I didn’t need to return it I’m actually glad I bought it. Overall pleased, a few quirks but it works for everyday use.
Charged extra but the clothes are great
Charged extra but the clothes are great
CheckoutI was folding the bags on my couch when I glanced at the receipt and felt that little click of annoyance — they’d charged me for an extra item. I’d bought eight things, paid at the self‑checkout with a staff member helping, and only noticed the mismatch at home. Two days later I found a different price tag tucked into one of the pockets, which made me wonder who was rushing at the till. I emailed and phoned a few times; at first it felt like I was being brushed off, that classic customer-is-wrong vibe. After a couple of messages though they sorted it — refund showed up, and someone admitted the mistake. The clothes themselves? Nice. Soft, true to size, washed well, and comfy to wear. I went from annoyed and sceptical to actually pretty pleased, even if the store could be more careful at checkout.
Unexpected turnaround
Unexpected turnaround
Servicethe chat took forever to answer and when someone finally replied they said they couldn't give dimensions. I mean, come on — height, width, depth. I waited, got a terse "sorry" and thought that's it, first and last time. I was skeptical, annoyed even. Then I sent a quick follow-up email (didn't want to call), and within a day they sent exact measurements and a short note explaining why it wasn't listed originally. Not perfect, but better than silence. The bag arrived faster than I expected and fits the way they described. Price felt fair. Service could be smoother, sure, but the actual product and delivery won me over. So yeah, started off doubtful — ended up satisfied. I might shop here again, especially if they tidy up that product info.
Delivery issues, but not a scam
Delivery issues, but not a scam
DeliveryI first heard about this place from a friend and decided to try them for a birthday order — saw their site, liked the stuff, went for it. Customer support was actually solid (they helped me sort things out, quick and polite), so I don’t think the company is shady. The real problem is their delivery partner, 17Tracking — terrible tracking updates, won’t deliver to PO boxes, and at big apartment complexes they’ll just leave packages out in the open. That’s what happened to me twice, in consecutive Decembers, so yeah, frustrating. I ended up giving a relative’s house with a camera as the address, which worked, but not ideal and kind of a hassle. If they switched to FedEx, DHL or UPS it would save a lot of headaches. Happy I got the items in the end, just not when I needed them. Small praise for customer service, bigger gripe with the courier.
