Unwanted pre-installed software
Unwanted pre-installed software
App & PortalI'm really annoyed with all these random apps getting installed on my phone without me even wanting them. It's such a pain having to keep deleting them to clear up room and keep my info safe. And don't even get me started on not being able to take out the battery when I need to - it's such a hassle, especially since there's no rules about it in Canada. It feels like both Google and the company couldn't care less about privacy, which makes me feel kinda uneasy about using their stuff.
Smartphone purchase disappointment
Smartphone purchase disappointment
App & PortalMy recent purchase of that new smartphone was really disappointing. Even though it looks super sleek and has all these cool features, I was so annoyed to find out that I couldn't really delete the messaging app that came with it. Turns out it was Google Messages, which I found out was snooping in on my pics, sounds, movements, and who knows what else. It invaded my privacy and made me feel totally uneasy and let down by a company I used to trust. Now I'm thinking this phone is more like a spy gadget than a way to communicate, and that's seriously not cool. Because of this crazy invasion of privacy, I decided to return the phone and look for something else that actually values user privacy and security.
About Samsung
Samsung is a South Korean multinational conglomerate headquartered in Samsung Town, Seoul. It comprises numerous affiliated businesses, most of them united under the Samsung brand, and is the largest South Korean chaebol (business conglomerate). Samsung was founded by Lee Byung-chul in 1938 as a trading company. Over the next three decades, the group diversified into areas including food processing, textiles, insurance, securities, and retail. Samsung entered the electronics industry in the late 1960s and the construction and shipbuilding industries in the mid-1970s; these areas would drive its subsequent growth. Following Lee's death in 1987, Samsung was separated into four business groups – Samsung Group, Shinsegae Group, CJ Group, and Hansol Group. Since the 1990s, Samsung has increasingly globalized its activities and electronics; in particular, mobile phones and semiconductors have become its most important source of income. As of the early 21st century, Samsung Electronics is a global leader in the semiconductor, telecommunications, digital media, and digital convergence technologies.
