Bit of a gem in Kensington
Bit of a gem in Kensington
Servicego — this place surprised me in a good way. I first spotted the Jonathan Adler shop while wandering Kensington and ended up dragging my sister back the next day because, well, I had to show her. The shop's vibe is warm and a bit theatrical, lots of small decor, candles, proper furniture and even chandeliers. Reeling helped me in-store, was patient and chatty and really made the choice easy (I almost bought two lamps). Jiaqi on the phone was calm and helpful too, and prices were prettier than I expected. A neighbourly, stylish find — recommend it.

Servicecrew called ahead, were careful carrying things in, and set everything up where I wanted it. A small scuff showed up on one corner — annoying, sure — but customer service handled it promptly: photo, quick approval for a repair, and a follow-up call to make sure the fix was fine. That shifted my whole attitude from "ah, here we go" to actually relieved. Price-wise it’s not cheap, but you feel the design and the team behind it. Overall I’m happy — delivery and the people made the difference. Would I buy again? Yes, and I’d recommend being patient with the process; they’ll make it right if something goes sideways.
Nice look, poor mechanics and worse follow-up

Serviceit wouldn’t settle all the way unless you pushed it just so, and over time that “careful nudge” turned into a full-on jam. A tech came out once and fiddled a bit — it helped a tiny bit but never fixed it. Then, months later, the drawer stopped closing properly at all. I reached out to customer service and it went downhill fast: they first suggested I get a local repair, then said their warranty didn’t cover it (even though their site mentions multi-year coverage for mechanical parts). After I pointed that out they implied the problem was my doing, which felt dismissive. We exchanged a few emails, then radio silence. I even asked to escalate to legal and heard nothing back. So, mixed feelings — it looks great and the build feels heavy, but using it day-to-day is a hassle and the aftercare is disappointing. If you value looks over function, fine, but if you want something that keeps working without a fight, I’d be cautious.
