Late-night cart chaos
Late-night cart chaos
Checkoutokay, temporary glitch, reload. Nope. Tried again, same message, no item in the cart. Kept fiddling, closing tabs, reopening, thinking maybe I’m doing something dumb. Finally it let me add the game and I went to check out — then the site charged me twice. I freaked a bit and backed out; when I looked again my cart had two or three extra items I never added. A $27 buy suddenly looked like a $264 nightmare. Tried editing the cart, buttons ignored me, totals stuck. So yeah, the doubts I had before buying — about the site being clunky and unreliable — didn’t go away, they were confirmed. But I didn’t want to stew all night, so I jumped over to Amazon, bought the same thing in five minutes, and that part was fine. Kinda relieved, honestly. Still annoyed at the other site for the mess and the stress, and I checked my bank just to be safe. Advice to others: don’t trust weird cart behaviour, double-check charges, and if a site acts weird, step away and use somewhere reliable. Glad it worked out in the end, just wish the original checkout hadn’t been such a disaster.
Missing part of the gift, silent on responsibility
Missing part of the gift, silent on responsibility
Servicethe rep repeated the same script about GPS scans and neighbours maybe taking it, like that solved anything. It didn't. It felt like they were protecting the carrier, not the customer. On the plus side, the parts that did arrive were fine — the other two games were exactly as described — so the product quality wasn't the issue. Still, losing a gift and being told to chase the carrier put me in a tight spot. I'm not thrilled, but I'm not yelling about it either; just disappointed. Won't be buying there for holiday gifts again until they change how they handle missing items.
Birthday plan that fell apart slowly
Birthday plan that fell apart slowly
Deliverytold it could take a couple of weeks, so I’m out the money for a while. Small detail, but the whole thing left a flat feeling — like you’d planned to use the thing, set it up, test it, and share it, and instead you spent time on emails and phone calls. If you need something by a certain date, don’t treat this as optional; plan well ahead or pick a different seller. I’m neutral on price — it wasn’t outrageous — but the delivery and service were disappointing. I mean, it’s not catastrophic, but it did ruin the timing.
Bought a refurb, ended up buying the warranty twice
Bought a refurb, ended up buying the warranty twice
CommunicationI paid for a one-year warranty and, thanks to mixed messages, wound up buying another one — not exactly confidence-inspiring. I got a refurbished Nintendo Switch late November 2025 with the extra year of coverage. By February it started acting up and I reached out to customer support. The emails I got were all over the place — sometimes they said bring it to a store if they had a like-for-like replacement, other times they talked about mailing it in. I explicitly asked, in writing, whether the warranty would move to a replacement unit. Support replied that yes, it would. Great, right? Well, not so fast. When I went to the store to swap the console, the staff there said the warranty wouldn’t transfer and that if I didn’t buy a new one on the spot I’d be left with nothing and couldn’t add it later. I showed the email thread — twice — but they wouldn’t budge. Feeling boxed in and not wanting to lose coverage, I bought a second warranty. So yeah, the device was replaced (finally), and I’m a little relieved it works, but the whole thing felt like being shuffled around and charged for the company’s mistake. If you’re buying refurbished with a warranty, get every promise in writing and maybe call the store first — or bring snacks, patience, and screenshots. They should fix how their teams communicate; customers shouldn’t be forced to pay twice because staff can’t agree.

Communication
it’ll ship today. Documentation apparently wasn’t updated, so I had to explain everything again. That was frustrating. I’ve dealt with worse with other retailers, so I tried to stay calm. But still.
Forty-eight hours after ordering, I finally saw a real tracking update and the remaining charge clear on my card. That was the moment I knew I was satisfied. Not because the process was smooth, but because the problem was actually fixed and I could stop calling. The relief was real. Small victory. It could have been handled much better. Faster communication and clearer notes on the account would have saved me hours on hold. As an Elite Pro member I expected a little more attention. Still, in the end the items arrived and the charges sorted out. I’ll probably order again, but I’ll keep a closer eye and maybe not rely on promises made on the phone. Human reaction: tired but relieved.
A hesitant buy that actually turned out okay

Serviceafter a bit of back-and-forth and a manager who actually cared (surprise), the accounts did get merged. It wasn’t instantaneous, there were a few miscommunications and yes, a couple of my PSA submission statuses didn’t show up right away. I had to follow up by email — and again, patience — but eventually someone tracked down the missing entries and restored the status updates I was after. So, my initial skepticism about their customer care was fair, but persistence helped. The product itself — the app and the way it shows progress — is really handy, and that’s what sold me in the end. It’s not perfect; expect some hoops if you have account issues. But overall I’m glad I stuck with it, and I’d tell a friend to try it too — just be ready to be persistent and ask to speak to a manager if things go sideways.
