Mixed outcome

Product

I was sceptical at first, but ended up reasonably satisfied. I ordered a premium floral arrangement for a friend's birthday last month. The website made it look straightforward. I paid extra for the premium. They called to confirm the delivery and we went over what was supposed to be in the arrangement. First impression: thorough, so I relaxed. Then the recipient sent a photo and it was nothing like what I paid for. Total disappointment. I complained and braced for excuses. They apologised, sent a different arrangement the next day and issued a partial refund. The new bouquet wasn't exactly the premium I ordered, but it was decent and the recipient liked it. Delivery was slow and the whole thing felt sloppy, but the fix was practical and handled without drama. Not perfect, but better than I feared. I'd try them again, cautiously.

Not what I pictured

Product

a messy, thrown-together bunch, not an arrangement. The container they sent was a teapot with a big gaudy pink rose decal — it stuck out like a sore thumb. I paid extra for "premium" and expected something closer to the photos. The blooms themselves were fresh though, and the courier dropped it off on time, so at least that part worked. I’m glad it didn’t arrive wilted or late. The substitution promise about equal or higher value felt off. If that replacement had been the listing image I wouldn’t have bought it. Still, my mom liked a few stems, so all wasn’t lost. Dry takeaway: decent delivery and fresh flowers, poor substitution choice and presentation.

Not what I expected, but they tried to fix it

Product

the heart shape was lopsided, sparse in spots, and looked like a rushed school project rather than a premium arrangement. I was frustrated. I dug into the order and it turns out the purchase went through a broker, not directly with a local shop. That explains the markup and why the maker seemed undercompensated — not an excuse, just context. I emailed the vendor and the local florist. To their credit, they offered to redo the arrangement and gave a partial refund. The remake arrived a few days later and was much closer to the photo — fuller, cleaner shape. It still wasn’t picture-perfect, but considering the first delivery, I felt the company made a reasonable effort to fix things. If you’re buying expensive seasonal arrangements, ask whether it’s fulfilled locally and request a photo before delivery. A small transparency check would have saved me a lot of stress.
