That moment in the hallway when I knew it worked out

Delivery

the coat itself was gorgeous, warm, fit the way I’d hoped, pockets in the right place — I put it on and felt instantly pleased, like “yeah, this is worth it.” That was the first time I knew the product itself would be fine. Then the annoyance started: the second coat never showed. The single box I got was just a plain cardboard thing with no tissue, no brand wrapping, no paperwork — frankly underwhelming for a pricey piece of outerwear. I took photos, because you do, and messaged customer service. Andrea got back to me pretty quickly and was helpful, to her credit. There were a few awkward steps (they asked me to fill out a formal-sounding affidavit which was odd and made me raise an eyebrow), and I had to push a bit to get them to look into the warehouse, which sounded like it’s outsourced. After the back-and-forth I honestly wasn’t expecting much, but they arranged to resend the missing coat. The second delivery actually came more carefully packaged than the first — tissue, a little tag, the whole thing — and when I tried that coat on too, standing in the hallway again, I felt properly satisfied. Not just with the coats (which are lovely), but with the way the company fixed the mess. I’m still a little wary about their warehouse handling — that needs a serious overhaul — but I’m grateful this was resolved and that Andrea didn’t just vanish. So yeah, the delivery experience was shaky, but the clothes and the eventual outcome made me glad I didn’t give up on the order.

Pretty dress, ugly follow-up

Price

the dress did arrive eventually and, weirdly, it’s actually really nice. Soft fabric, the fit was surprisingly good and I even wore it to a casual Saturday brunch afterwards. Unexpected win there. But the whole buying experience? Not great. FedEx kept sending invoices saying I owed duties, Claudie Pierlot told me I didn’t and that they’d sort it, and then crickets for weeks. I pinged them a few times, got reassurances, then — surprise — debt collectors start knocking. Now I’m worrying about legal notices and my credit score over something that should’ve been simple. So while the dress feels great and gets compliments when I wear it, the hassle around delivery and billing has been a constant nag. If you care about smooth paperwork and peace of mind, keep that in mind. If you just want the dress and don’t mind a headache, well… you decide.
