PriceSo, like, I had a really bad time dealing with this company. The shipping fees were crazy high, my order took forever to get here, and to make matters worse, half the stuff I ordered got cancelled but I didn't get my delivery fee back for those items. When I tried to talk to their customer service about it, they were no help at all and kinda brushed me off. It sucks to see a company act like that when they should be all about making customers happy and giving good service, eh.
About Bodega
Bodega is a tech startup founded in 2017 by two former Google employees, Paul McDonald and Ashwath Rajan. The company originally aimed to revolutionize convenience shopping through the implementation of unmanned smart pantry boxes, essentially modern vending machines stocked with non-perishable items, located in lobbies, offices, and residential buildings. Bodega's initial concept, despite its innovative tech approach to retail, faced significant backlash for potentially threatening small local businesses, particularly corner stores traditionally known as "bodegas." Following the criticism, the company rebranded to Stockwell in 2018, emphasizing a more community-friendly image and expanding its service offerings before ultimately ceasing operations in July 2020.
