Aosom - Reviews and experiences

Unfortunately, I noticed a dent on the edge of the metal table top frame that my husband had built. There was also a small chip/dent in the finish and a slight twist on one side of the frame, suggesting it was dropped at some point. Even though the table was already put together and we recycled the boxes, so we couldn't return it. I reached out to the company to see what could be done and they offered a $14 discount for repairs or to find a new piece. However, finding a place to fix or replace such a large frame seemed like a big task, not to mention the extra cost.

I got some chairs and they were awesome, no issues at all. But then I ordered an awning and it took so long to arrive, which was super annoying because I needed it for my Victoria Day party. And when my water fountain showed up, it was all broken! I sent them pictures right away, but now I have to wait like 2 weeks for a replacement. It's really not cool, eh.

I bought a PawHut 2-In-1 Dog Bicycle Trailer / Stroller Pet Carrier with 360 Swivel Wheel Hitch Suspension Safety Flag. The wheels would not stay inflated, and it was only used once. The next year I bought a new one instead of trying to fix the first one. I ordered three times and finally got one where the wheels would stay inflated. Just went to take the dogs out for the 1st time and again wheels are deflated. Never even got to use. Because its over the 30 day policy, there is nothing they will do. I even asked the CSR if there was anything at all, she or the parts department could do. I couldn't even get a 'no' just a 'nahhh'. Very rude and condescending as well. I usually try to support smaller businesses and have purchased much from this company. But this was the final straw. My purchases will be made from Amazon from now on.

Last December my wife and I bought two “Aosom” greenhouses: a small clear plastic 8' x 10' and a large white plastic 10' x 15'. The small "Aosom" greenhouse was bought through Loblaws. The large greenhouse was bought directly from Aosom. We installed them around the beginning of May. I had to do some modifications to the units. I enumerate them below.
Cut windows (with Velcro to close them) to let the wind go through. Otherwise the wind was bending it out of shape.
Tack down the base rods with pegs to stop the wind from lifting the unit off the ground.
Put guy ropes on. All these things to prevent the greenhouse from becoming too consorted by the wind.
Tape (yes, duct tape) several of the plastic joints which were beginning to split.
The large 10' x 15' greenhouse:
Tack down the base rods with pegs.
Put on heavier guy lines than those supplied.
Use heavier pegs to hold the guy lines.
I was impressed with the construction of the large greenhouse which uses an aluminum structure instead of plastic.
Then came the storm on May 21. Surprisingly the small greenhouse withstood the storm with no damage to it. However the large greenhouse, which I thought would have held up better than the small one did not hold up at all. It collapsed! Most of the aluminum rods were bent out of shape. Surprisingly the greenhouse white plastic covering stayed intact.
I emailed Aosom and asked if I could take back the damaged pieces to them for replacement? Their technical staff could use these parts to evaluate solutions to render their product more durable. Or I could take back the whole frame and have it replaced?
The answer I received was that the unit was guaranteed for 90 days. They apologized for any inconvenience but refused to do anything about the situation.
I replied to Aosom that I had bought the unit in December but had to wait for winter to pass before using the greenhouse. Their response surprised me. They were willing, “as a goodwill gesture” to offer me a 5% discount on a futuer order!!!! Yes 5%!!!
Needless to say I did not take them up on this pitiful offer.
Both greenhouses are now completly useless. I have no frame for the large greenhouse and the small one has so many rips, mostly along the seem lines, that it is not useable. And the joints in the frame are coming apart.
Would you actually think of buying Aosom product afer this debacle?

I bought a 240$ ottoman from them and after one month it started falling appart, screws fell, and fabric ripped. I contacted them after 4 months from purchase since I was very busy and I know it is a 1 year warranty, but they refused to help or change it which I find very greedy and consider them thieves. I am disappointed, I will never buy from them.

I purchased wicker patio furniture 2 summers ago. After 1 year the wicker started to break. I called the company to have the pieces replaced and they refused to do anything for me. Now I am stuck with $thousand of patio furniture that looks like cheap junk. Not happy with the product or the company.

Sudden windstorm caused the canopy locking screws to snap when swing was only a few months old. Customer service reps were polite and courteous but company does not stock parts. Buyers beware.....your purchase may become useless if something breaks unexpectedly!
