Looks clean, doesn't work

Service

I sat down, saw this on my school's exam portal after a TA recommended it. The interface actually looks clean, which surprised me, but I then spent about eight hours troubleshooting and twenty minutes on hold to a support number that never picked up. Annoying.

Robotic support, lucky find

Service

Funny thing — the support felt totally robotic, like they didn't read anything and just closed my ticket. I ended up finding the Harvard certificate right on Harvard's site for free, so I cancelled the aid. Kinda scummy to charge for something that's available free, but hey, I'm actually glad it wasn't a big loss. Other companies did this way better, so not impressed.

Finally sorted

Service

I knew I was satisfied the day the support ticket actually led to a fix. Took a week. At first there were mistakes in lab answers and no reply, same silence I've seen at other providers. Then one agent tracked down the issue and sent corrected materials. It wasn't perfect. Small delays stayed. Still, getting the corrected labs and finishing without extra fees felt like a win. Relief, and that's enough.

Unexpectedly useful course

Service

I signed up on a whim because I needed calculus on my resume and thought I’d give it a shot. First impression was shaky — no certificate showed up and support was slow, so I was honestly skeptical. But the lessons are hands-on and actually make the concepts click; the practice felt practical and the exam wasn’t a trap. After a couple messages I did get the certificate by email. So yeah, annoyed at first, then pleasantly surprised. Not perfect, but it works and I’d recommend it.

Halfway through, things stalled

Service

they basically said they won’t investigate because I’m only auditing. Come on, that felt unprofessional and kind of lazy. On the plus side, the course content and delivery are still solid when the code works; I liked the clarity and the examples, they really help. My advice to others: don’t start this expecting a plug-and-play setup unless you’re comfortable wrestling with Python packages or creating a virtual env with older versions. And a wish for edX — please pin dependencies or provide a container/requirements file so audits aren’t left to fend for themselves. Small fix, big difference.

Online courses

Service

This company is just the worst to deal with. Their services are so-so, I wouldn't suggest using them for any online courses. The whole thing was a total disaster from beginning to end.

Online course experience

Service

The course I signed up for was a letdown right from the beginning. The teacher didn't seem ready and just went through slides without really explaining or offering any deeper understanding. It seemed like I could have just looked things up on Google and learned more that way. And don't even get me started on the so-called 'Student Success Advisor' - they were no help at all and came across as rude in their communication. As for the career support they offered, it was a joke to get advice from a 20-year-old college student who probably doesn't have much real-life experience. To sum it up, the whole thing made me feel frustrated and like my learning was not valued at all.

Coding Bootcamp course

Service

I enrolled in this really awesome coding bootcamp course at an online school. They promised that I could land a high-paying job afterwards, but once I completed the course, I didn't even get a single interview! The folks who were supposed to support me were just like, "sorry, no guarantees." On top of that, one of the teachers made a racist comment, which is totally unacceptable. Now I'm broke and still on the job hunt. Definitely do your research before committing to anything!
