Needed mattress for sore back; site looped, support meh, delivery actually excellent

I was about to skip this because of endless upgrade popups — seemed like a cash grab. Bought one course anyway; popups settled, the material was useful and the chatbot actually helped. Not perfect, but I’m satisfied.

I first spotted it on edX and a co-worker nudged me to try it. At first it felt dusty and text-heavy, but halfway through a clear example made me think, okay, this actually works. Still clunky UX and could use videos, though.

the Biography section just won't save my bio or location. I actually like edX course material — good stuff, universities and all — but this little thing stopped me. I emailed support a few times; they replied fast, which I appreciated, but their fix was basically "unenrol for a refund." Not helpful. That feels like sidestepping the problem, not fixing it. I tried clearing cache, a different browser, even a phone, same result. Other platforms I use usually escalate or walk you through console logs or whatever; here it was refund or nothing. So yeah, content quality kept me hopeful, but the support process left me annoyed. Small friction, but it affects how you use the site. Hoping they actually look into the bug and add a proper troubleshooting path instead of pushing cancellations.

add visible progress tracking and faster R support, or better troubleshooting steps. I might try to finish, but honestly I’d warn others to expect delays. Also the forum threads are scattered and replies are often inconsistent and unhelpful.

The labs in the online courses were really disappointing. I had a lot of problems with the loading times, especially with the web scraping lab. It took me so many tries to get it to load, and when it finally did, it just took forever. Plus, the links in the labs didn't even work, so I couldn't access the resources I needed. The worst part was that there weren't any explanations for the code in the labs, which left me feeling lost and confused about what I was supposed to be learning. And they didn't even clarify terms like "Mamba", which just made things even more confusing. Overall, I feel like I wasted my time and money on these EdX online courses because the quality of the labs just didn't meet my expectations. It's really disappointing to see a well-known platform like EdX dropping the ball like this and not giving their customers the experience they deserve.
