Genealogy DNA kits
Genealogy DNA kits
PriceI love learning about my family history and genealogy, so when I found out about DNA kits for genealogy, I was so excited! I've bought a few kits for both myself and my family, and the results have been really interesting. But, I was a bit let down to find out that I couldn't get the refer a friend gift card with my purchases. Plus, having to buy extra subscriptions like Ancestry, Newspapers, and find a grave can get pretty pricey and overwhelming. I think there should be more free info out there to help more folks explore their roots.
Overpriced DNA test
Overpriced DNA test
PriceI ordered a DNA test back in February but I never got it. I called customer service and they told me I forgot to write the number on the container, so the shipping got delayed. The person I talked to was nice and they said they will send me a new kit, which should come in 7 to 10 days. Even though it was my fault, I think the DNA test is too expensive compared to other ones out there.

DNA testing kit
PriceI bought a DNA testing kit from this company recently, and I gotta say, it was a pretty good experience overall. The website and app were super easy to navigate, which made finding the info I needed a breeze. But you know what grinds my gears? Some DNA test info is only available to folks who subscribe. I think all the test results should be included with the kit, even if it bumps up the price a bit. I mean, I like the features and all, but the subscription fees seem a little pricey compared to other sites, eh?
About ancestry
Ancestry is an American genealogy company that provides individuals with resources to trace their family history and genetic lineage. Founded in 1983, it began as a publishing company for family history books and genealogical magazine subscriptions. Over the years, Ancestry shifted its business model towards digital services, launching its website in 1996 to offer access to billions of historical records and family trees. The company further expanded its services with the introduction of DNA testing in 2012, allowing users to explore their genetic ancestry and find biological relatives. Ancestry's comprehensive archives include census records, vital records, military records, and more, making it one of the largest sources for genealogical research.
