Frozen-but-fixed transfer
Frozen-but-fixed transfer
TransfersI tried to send money and the app froze my transfer — asked for a bank statement even though I uploaded my passport ages ago. I complained (loudly) and almost walked away. Support was slow and a bit robotic at first, but after I sent the extra doc someone actually checked it and the payment went through. Rates aren’t stellar compared to others I’ve used (hi Wise), but the turnaround saved me. Lesson learned, keep copies handy. So annoyed then relieved; would use again, grudgingly.
Mostly smooth, one annoying gap

TransfersI can send to Bank of South Pacific in Suva but not to their branch in Honiara, and that's where my sponsored student keeps her account. So yeah, I still have to use Ozforex sometimes — which hurts the exchange rate. Customer service was fine when I checked, nothing flashy but solid. Hope WU adds that Solomons bank soon, please.
The points saga — a small win

App & PortalI honestly thought I was being scammed. For months I watched my balance sit at about 1,100 points and nothing worked online. I made purchases, waited, checked the app, chatted, called — same song. It was annoying, and I was this close to writing them off. Then, out of the blue, a rep actually dug in and flagged a back-office issue. A few days later the missing points posted and I could use them in-store. That moment — when the cashier scanned and the discount applied — felt oddly satisfying. It was an unnecessary hassle, but it worked in the end, so I'm relieved. If you hit this, be persistent and keep screenshots.

TransfersNot worth it; they blocked my transfer — getting it sorted was a mess. I was sending $60 to a friend helping with a move — needed cash quick because my back was acting up. At the Walmart service desk I apparently chose the wrong option. The transaction was frozen after a review. I filled an ID form, explained why, and showed proof; excessive for $60. They promised a callback in three days and never called. When I called back the rep told me to create an account. Twenty minutes on hold. Frustrating; eventually it went through.
Two hours wasted, one week wait

Pricedon't send big amounts straight from your bank with them; I'd use a credit card or another provider next time. Also that "first transfer zero fee" promo? Still ended up paying a worse rate than shown. So, satisfied the cash was returned, not satisfied with the transparency or the hassle. Just saying, I'll pick another service next time, simple.
