“check MaxMind.” That was frustrating because MaxMind showed one thing and YouTube/Spotify showed another.
What surprised me was that after a bit of pushback, a more senior agent actually took it seriously. They dug into routing, ran tests at odd hours (I appreciated that), and eventually assigned me a different exit IP and a short-term dedicated endpoint to try. That actually fixed most of it — streaming sites started seeing me as Turkey, and banking looked normal again. Delivery of that fix was faster than I expected once someone escalated it, and the follow-up emails explaining what they changed were useful (not just “use MaxMind” again).
So yeah, it wasn’t smooth from the start, and I wasted time repeating the problem, but the end result was positive and I was pleasantly surprised by the escalation process. If you need a reliable Turkish IP for relocation, streaming or banking, give them a chance — but be ready to push a bit for escalation. Customer service did turn it around for me in the end.
