H&R Block - Reviews and experiences

I've been using tax services for over thirty years now, and I've been to different offices over that time. The quality of service has been up and down, but my most recent experience was pretty disappointing. The person who did my taxes for 2021 made mistakes that ended up with me owing thousands of dollars to the government. Even though I paid extra for a "Peace of Mind" guarantee, I still got hit with more fees, and the person asked for a bottle of Blueberry Brandy as payment. When I showed up for my appointment, they said I didn't have one, which made me wait around for a long time before they finally told me they couldn't help me. All in all, not the best experience with tax services this year.

My time at the tax preparation service was absolutely awful. The person I spoke with said they could assist with my taxes, but they were clueless. I ended up owing a ton of money in taxes, only to find out later that the amount was wrong. June and Nancy, the agents, were unprofessional and didn't address my issues. It was a letdown and cost me a lot of money in the end.

I recently tried out this service to help me file my taxes and I gotta say, I was really let down by the whole experience. The program they gave me didn't calculate my taxes correctly, even though I showed them screenshots of the mistakes. On top of that, they overcharged me for two state tax returns when I only needed one, and the customer service folks weren't helpful at all in fixing the problem. All in all, I was really disappointed with the service and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone needing help with their taxes.

My trip to the tax office was a total disaster, eh. I had to sort out my ol' dad's taxes for the last couple months of his life, and even though he'd been dealing with them for ages, the tax guy I got stuck with messed things up big time. Now we're stuck with a whole audit for money that belonged to a dead guy, and let me tell you, it's been nothing but stress and frustration. I can't believe a company with their reputation could screw up so bad.

They always give me good advice on tricky tax stuff, making sure I get as many deductions and credits as I can while still following the rules. I really like how careful and thorough they are in their work, and I think their expertise has saved me a lot of money over the years. I'd definitely recommend their services to anyone who needs help with taxes.
