PriceI bought the top-tier H&R Block software on a rainy Tuesday evening (because who doesn’t make life decisions with a mug of coffee and a stack of old receipts?) and to be honest I hesitated. Part of me thought, “It’s H&R Block, they’re a name,” but another part thought, “Do I really want to pay extra for what might be the same old clunky thing?” So yeah, doubts. I went ahead anyway because I had a messy, multi-state prior-year return and time was ticking.

PriceMy software purchase experience sucked, eh. I found out they charged me extra for an option I didn't even want, and they just went ahead and chose it for me without asking. It totally rubbed me the wrong way and now I feel like I gotta tell everyone to watch out. It seems like this company is playing dirty by using sneaky tactics to trick customers into paying for stuff they don't need, and honestly, it's pretty lame.
