I first saw this style at a neighbour’s place during a backyard get-together and thought, yeah, that's the look I want. So when we decided to buy a couple for our new build I was genuinely looking forward to the heft and the metal cage — felt like a proper fixture. Problem is, from the moment it arrived it felt like a hassle. The box was smashed to bits and the whole package sat on this massive wooden pallet they made us keep — like, we had to step over it in the garage for days. Not ideal, especially hauling boxes and kids around. The crate itself was heavy, ungainly, and not something you want cluttering a workspace. I get that these are solid pieces, but handling it felt awkward and clumsy, not like unboxing something special.
I opened it right away and, at first glance, it seemed okay. But once we hung it and started fitting the glass panels — which, FYI, are thin and a little fiddly — the cage didn't line up. It was bent in spots, warped in others, and the panels simply wouldn’t sit properly. So it’s one of those things that looks fine in the box but reveals its problems when you actually use it. The metal itself has a certain weight and texture I like, and the finish feels nice to the touch, but form needs to meet function, and this one didn’t.
Tried to get it sorted through their returns process; filled out their form, sent photos, asked politely for escalation — nothing. Got a templated reply that basically said “nope” with a pasted policy. No real conversation, no offer to pick it up (we were expected to keep the pallet, remember?), and no timeline. That’s the part that hurt more than the product defect — the customer care was cold and generic. I did recommend the brand before, I even convinced friends to buy similar lights, but after this I’m hesitating to buy again. The lamp could’ve been great, but the experience soured it.

Returns & Refundspretty sharp design, fit the room. The other one was backordered and I was told my card wouldn’t be charged until it shipped. A week later I get a charge for both. That set the tone. I called, asked for a refund for the backordered piece since it wouldn’t ship for a couple months. Kept calling, kept following up, and nothing was returned. Eventually I stopped chasing it, reluctantly, because life goes on. When both eventually arrived I had an electrician come install them. He pointed out the Cubist fixture was a bit bent — some glass inserts wouldn’t sit right — so we installed it without those pieces. It looked okay, not perfect. Six months later I get calls, texts, emails saying I still owe for the linear chandelier. I dealt with collections, showed proof that no refund was issued earlier, and somehow my card was charged again. They did give a small discount because of the glass problem, so that was something, but then I noticed the linear chandelier was crooked on the mount, not level, which screams poor quality control. Throughout, customer service never offered a straightforward apology or moved quickly to fix things. In the end both lights are hung and the room looks better — so I’m kind of satisfied that the purchase did what I wanted — but the billing mess, the bent pieces, and the lack of accountability made it far more frustrating than it needed to be. If you buy from them, double-check your statements and be ready to push for fixes.

Pricedon’t assume backorder billing will be handled correctly — get it in writing and follow up immediately, and if you’re paying a premium expect to inspect carefully on delivery. There was one decent thing — a minor price adjustment — but overall the experience was frustrating and not what I expected for the money.
