Mixed feelings but relieved

Returns & RefundsI remember sitting on my packed suitcases, ready for a long weekend ski trip with the family, and panicking when the jacket never showed up. I needed that coat — I’ve got a cranky lower back and cold makes it worse — so this wasn’t just vanity. The delivery was apparently stolen, and the company’s answer was basically “ask your bank.” Not great. The moment I actually relaxed was when my card company processed the chargeback and the money landed back in my account; relief, plain and simple. So yeah, I’m glad it worked out in the end, but their customer service could’ve handled it better.
Great jacket, terrible follow-through

Returns & Refundseither employees lifting stuff, or a mess in their returns team, or worse, something systemic. The product itself would've been fine (fit and quality looked good at first glance), which makes it more annoying. I'm trying to be fair, but this whole back-and-forth has been draining and I wouldn't risk ordering from them again.

ProductI’ll be honest, I almost walked past these in the shop on Queen St. — they looked a bit chunky and, frankly, the price made me pause. A buddy had texted me a grainy pic saying “you need these,” and I was like, sure, whatever. So I tried on the Back-to-Berkeley III Leather WP more out of curiosity than anything. I was sceptical about the whole “waterproof” thing — been burned before by that claim — but figured, meh, try them. First real test was a muddy, rainy park loop a week later. My feet stayed dry, and that surprised me; like, pleasantly surprised. They did feel stiff at first, needed a couple walks to break in, and I noticed a tiny scuff after the second week (just cosmetic), but nothing that matters for hiking or daily slogging. Customer support was actually helpful when I emailed about sizing — quick reply, clear advice, no nonsense. Delivery was on time, boxed well. Price is a bit up there, but for the comfort and the fact they keep water out, I’m happy — feels like they’ll last. So yeah, my doubts melted away once I wore them in the rain. Would recommend to a friend — I already did, oddly enough.
Not what I expected for the price

Returns & Refunds
they'd refund the original account first and "if it bounces" then they'd use my new details. That should've been a red flag.
I followed up again on January 26 because nothing had hit my bank. They told me to wait until the 30th. I did. On the 30th they said the refund was issued and to check with my bank. February 4 rolls around and after dozens of emails — I lost count but it felt like twenty-something — I still had neither parka nor money. The company keeps pointing to the bank; my bank points back to them. I have that case number but not much else. Compared to other outdoor brands I’ve dealt with — ones that handled warranty returns fast and without this back-and-forth — this was disappointing. Mildly frustrated is putting it lightly. I appreciated the moment they owned the mistake and offered the refund, but the follow-through fell short. It’s fixable, I think, if they just follow through. Until then, I can’t say I’d buy at that price again.

ServiceI remember tearing into the box thinking, yes — mules at last, then staring at hiking boots like, huh? Classic mix-up. Took a few calls, a bit of back-and-forth, and yeah I grumbled, but the thing that made me stop being annoyed was when the replacement actually showed up — right shoe, left shoe, the real Nuptse mules. There was even a tiny handwritten note from the warehouse (unexpected) saying sorry and thanks. Little things like that flip the mood, weirdly. If you're ordering, double-check the label when it arrives and be persistent with CS if it’s wrong. Overall not perfect, but once they fixed it I felt satisfied — relieved, honestly — and I’d give them another shot, with a caveat to watch the packing.
