Sharp pick, small wait
Sharp pick, small wait
ServiceI popped into the Men’s Wearhouse in Maple Shade with my son to find a suit for a family wedding, and honestly I wasn’t expecting fireworks — just something that fit. We did have a tiny lag at the door because a staffer was finishing with the people ahead of us and a gentleman was on the phone, but he quickly let us know someone would be right with us. Lucky for us it was Jorge. He wasn’t loud about it, kind of quietly confident, and wow — his eye for what looks good is why I’m writing this. He measured my son, asked a few casual questions about where the suit would be worn (wedding, but also interviews and church stuff), and pretty quickly pulled options together. The thing that stuck with me was the tie he picked — neither of us would have chosen it, but when he laid it with the jacket and shirt it suddenly felt right, classy without trying too hard. He explained why it worked, showed my son how to tie it (because, of course, he’d forgotten), and marked the jacket and pants for alterations. The alterations will be ready in a week, which is perfect timing. If I have a small gripe it’s just the short wait at the start, nothing major. Overall we left relieved and glad we didn’t have to keep hunting — Jorge made the process easy and I’m thankful for that.

Service
I wasn’t even planning to buy anything that week. A coworker had actually tipped me off about the Men’s Wearhouse on Carl D. Silver Parkway, said it was worth a stop. So when a security detail popped up and I needed a suit fast, I popped over to have a look. I grabbed a shirt first, then drifted into the suit section. I shopped around a bit, even checked a couple of other stores nearby, but kept thinking about the fit and the options I’d seen at Men’s Wearhouse. I ended up leaving to compare prices, then came back the next morning — the place had been closed the night before — and that’s when Kevin, the store manager, helped me.
Kevin was calm and practical. He listened to what I needed and didn’t push anything. He showed me a few choices, pointed out a couple of cheaper options too, but I chose one that was a bit nicer than I planned. The moment I tried the whole outfit on and zipped the jacket, I felt it — confident, a bit sharper, like I could actually do the job without worrying about my clothes. That was when I knew I’d made the right call. Kevin even hemmed the pants in under ten minutes, which took a huge weight off my shoulders given the tight timing. He also helped pick shoes that matched, and his quiet attention to detail made the morning less stressful.
There was a little amusement in feeling like I’d treated myself, and a short pang of “I should have done this sooner.” I liked that it wasn’t flashy service, just solid, human help when I needed it. I’ll be back, and I told my coworker he was right to recommend the place. If there’s a staff awards day, Kevin deserves a mention.

Service
service can make or break things, and she definitely made the beginning less painful.
Then things got odd. A different associate, Rich, came over and was okay at first, then made this comment to my dad about his shape and how he “couldn’t” wear the skinny fit suit. I mean… you hear a line like that and your stomach drops. My dad’s been trying hard to get in shape for the wedding, and he’s not some stranger — he’s my dad. That remark just landed wrong. It drained the excitement right out of him, which was upsetting to watch. I get that salespeople maybe try to steer customers, but telling someone they can’t wear a style? Not cool. Not professional. Not kind.
We tried to roll with it anyway — my dad put the suit on and actually loved it. So that part was a win. But then the shirt situation happened: I grabbed one off the wall, it was a bit snug, so I tried a size up. Then a staff member who hadn’t been helping us kind of barked about “not taking the cardboard out” and told us there were shirts in the back. Fair enough, but we don’t work there; how would we know to look in the back? The tone was sharp and unnecessary. My dad and I were left standing there like, okay? You could have said it nicer.
So picture this: one really helpful staffer at the start, one who made a hurtful comment, and another who lectured us like we were doing something wrong. It was a mixed bag. We left feeling a bit deflated and, to be honest, we didn’t buy anything in the end. I’ve had way better experiences at other shops — like one local tailor who called to say my fitting was ready and actually walked me through options without making me feel judged — so this was disappointing by comparison.
All that said, I am glad the young woman was there and that the suit actually looked good on my dad in the end. If they could clean up the customer service — quicker greeting, a little more tact from some associates — this place could be a lot better. Delivery/pickup expectations should also be clearer; standing around isn’t great, and it makes small missteps feel bigger. I’m grateful the day didn’t completely derail the wedding plans, but I’d be cautious about returning unless things improve.

ServiceMy experience with buying stuff online from this store and dealing with their customer service was a huge letdown. I tried to order a few times, but each time my credit card got charged even though the orders didn't go through, which messed up my account. When I reached out to customer service about it, they weren't very clear or helpful, and couldn't fix the problem right away. Plus, I found out they don't ship internationally or to freight companies, so it was a big hassle trying to get my order delivered even though I have a local address. It was really annoying trying to contact their customer service, because I had to wait forever before I could talk to someone who could actually help me out.

ServiceI recently bought a custom suit from this store for the second time, and I have to say, the service I got was top-notch. The staff took the time to help me without being pushy and answered all my questions patiently. I want to give a shoutout to Riley C. for his amazing help.

ServiceI recently bought a suit and tie from this store, and I have to say, the customer service was amazing. The staff really went out of their way to help me find the right fit and style. It was disappointing to learn they don't offer a military discount, but then they tried to sell me on some warrior program. It was quite the contradiction!
Tuxedo fitting experience

ServiceMy recent trip to a men's formal wear store in Beaumont, Texas was a total let down. I asked for a different size, but the employee flat out said no, without even caring. When I asked about their policy, I got no answer. What's strange is that the same employee was quick to help other customers, who were a different race. I felt like I was being discriminated against and disrespected. The manager didn't do anything about it and kept giving special treatment to other customers. It seemed like they were trying to stop me from buying a tux just because of my race. The manager even brought up payment stuff, hinting that I had to pay everything upfront, without mentioning this to anyone else. All in all, it was a terrible and unfair situation.

ServiceMy recent visit to the store was a major letdown. The service at the Orland Park location was really bad. Not only was the suit too expensive, but the time it took to pick it up was way too long. Also, we had a receipt that clearly said we owed nothing, yet we were asked to pay 3 cents when we got there. The manager was rude and unprofessional when I complained about this. Trying to get a refund for a wedding that was happening that weekend was just unnecessary. All in all, I had a terrible experience with bad service and no respect for customers. I definitely won't be going back there.
Two suits
Two suits
ServiceI just bought two suits from that store and the customer service was really disappointing. When I walked in, I saw four salespeople hanging around, but none of them came over to help me. I felt totally ignored and it made me feel awkward and not wanted. It was obvious that customer service wasn't a priority for them, they didn't make me feel important at all. Even though the suits were nice, the whole experience was ruined by the lack of care and professionalism from the staff.
Black suit for black tie wedding
Black suit for black tie wedding
ServiceI needed a black suit for a fancy wedding we were going to on Saturday. The phone call to the store made it sound like it would be a breeze. They said they had the suit I needed in the right size and color and that they would have it ready for us when we got there. But when we did arrive, we ended up waiting for over an hour just to get some help. There were only two staff members working, and they were too busy on their phones to help us out. It was really disappointing and frustrating, so I won't be going back there to shop. I don't recommend it.
Wedding tuxedo rental
Wedding tuxedo rental
ServiceMy recent visit to this place was a real letdown. I rented a tuxedo for my daughter's wedding and it was a total mess. The fitting process was a nightmare, with multiple trips needed to fix problems like different lengths on the pant legs and sleeves, a ripped clasp on the pants, and the wrong-sized shirt. The service was super slow due to not enough staff, which caused unnecessary delays. Even the father of the groom had his order lost and had to go back three times to sort it out. The customer service was terrible, as trying to reach corporate was a dead-end - calls went unanswered and texts to customer service got no real response. The whole experience was just awful, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone needing a tuxedo for a special event.

ServiceThe Men's Wearhouse used to be a go-to spot for buying a suit with top-notch customer service and a wide range of selection about 10 years ago. But my most recent visit left much to be desired. I waited 15 minutes before anyone even noticed me, and when they didn't have my size in stock, they had to order my pants. They said it would be ready in 5-7 days, but it actually took 3 weeks. And when I came to pick it up, there was only one staff member on duty, who was on the phone with another customer for 20 minutes. It was a far cry from the great experiences I've had in the past.
Custom-fit suit for a wedding
Custom-fit suit for a wedding
ServiceI went to the Men's Wearhouse in Calgary to buy a custom-fit suit for a wedding I have coming up. The store was all tidy and they had a lot of suits to choose from, which was great. But I was kind of let down by the service I got. Even though there were a few employees around, I was left waiting for a long time with no one saying anything to me. Some other customers who got there after me got help before me, which was pretty annoying. I get that they were busy, but just a quick "hey we'll be right with you" would've been nice.
Wedding attire for daughter

ServiceI went to the store to find wedding clothes for my daughter and I was really let down by the service. The new employees who took the measurements didn't do a good job, so the suits were all wrong for both the groom and the kids. That's not okay, especially for something as important as a wedding. It's obvious that these young employees need better training to get the measurements right and make sure customers are happy. I've been coming to this store for nearly ten years, but if things don't improve, I might have to shop somewhere else.
Shirt and tie purchase
Shirt and tie purchase
ServiceI gotta say, my time at that store was really good. I went in to find a couple of new shirts and a tie, and a friendly employee helped me right away. Don Watson was really attentive and asked all the right questions to make sure I got exactly what I needed. He even offered to measure me for the perfect fit. Not only did I find the perfect shirt and tie, but Don also told me about some special deals they had going on, which was a nice surprise. Even though he had to help other customers too, he stayed calm and friendly the whole time. Overall, I left the store feeling really happy with my purchases and the service I got.

ServiceMy recent experience with Men's Wearhouse was really disappointing. I bought a wedding suit but got sick with Covid and couldn't make it to the event. Even though I tried to explain the situation, the response from the store was not very understanding or empathetic. They made me feel stupid for not telling them earlier, even though I physically couldn't. The staff member I talked to lacked compassion, and it left a bad taste in my mouth. On top of that, I had to pay $200 for a suit I never got to wear. I won't be going back there again, that's for sure.
