Suunto - Reviews and experiences

I first saw their flyer at my climbing gym after a buddy tipped me. It dragged on, yes — long waits and vague replies — but the moment my watch finally came back and actually worked, I felt relieved, oddly satisfied, so yeah, mixed feelings.

I bought a Suunto while it was on sale because my physio literally told me to start tracking walks and gentle runs for my back — needed something reliable, you know? The watch showed up quickly, which was nice, but the bezel was clearly off-centre. I contacted support and they said no exchanges and that if I wanted another one I’d have to buy it at full price since the sale ended. While I was trying to sort that out it went on sale again, so I ordered another and guess what — also faulty. Returned both, paid return shipping, and they didn’t refund the original delivery fee. That part felt wrong. I spent weeks emailing (too many messages, like 49), using chat, calling — the chat bot even said faulty items get costs refunded, but then support told me they couldn’t even check with their service centre and closed the case. Weirdly, delivery itself was fast and the courier was polite — small surprise in the middle of a mess. One rep tried to help and seemed sincere, so not everyone was useless, but overall the customer service process felt impossible and that’s the worst when you actually need something that works for health stuff.

I was so excited to start using the watch I got as a gift, but it was really disappointing when the battery life tanked and the tracking features were way off after just a month. I tried to get it repaired under warranty, but it's been two whole months and I still don't have it back. Dealing with customer service was a total nightmare - I had to wait forever just to talk to someone who was super rude and not helpful at all. I felt ignored and brushed off, like they didn't care at all. After trying to reach out through email with no luck, I've had enough. This whole situation is a total bummer because I had such high hopes for this watch, but now I'm just frustrated and feeling ripped off. I've even had to get PayPal involved to try and get my money back.

I bought a Suunto dive watch a couple of years back, eh? I just realized that the depth sensor ain't working. Apparently, this is a pretty common problem with these watches. So, I sent it in to get fixed, but got a message back saying it's too old for repairs (even though I've only used it for about 10 dives) and it ain't eligible for their service exchange program. And now they want to charge me £15 just to send it back to me. Like, seriously? This is super disappointing and annoying, eh.
