Slow cashout, lots of red tape
Slow cashout, lots of red tape
Serviceweeks of back and forth, vague replies, then a hard no on reissuing or using any alternative method I offered. I also told them upfront I’m a victim in a separate, serious matter involving third parties (there have been cease‑and‑desist orders and related legal concerns) — I wanted them to know why timing and confidentiality mattered. Even knowing that, they used identity verification and the fact that the address is a virtual mailbox (they’ve sent to it before) as reasons to delay or withhold payment. The result was months without payment and a lot of time spent chasing them. It’s not a total disaster — they did eventually respond and processes exist — but the handling felt bureaucratic and inflexible, and the communication could be clearer. For anyone who needs money on a deadline, be prepared: it’s slow, and don’t count on alternative solutions being accepted.
Mixed feelings about the whole thing
Mixed feelings about the whole thing
Returns & Refundsthe stuff itself is fine and actually fits into my daily routine — one of the sets sits on my kitchen counter; I use it every morning for quick breakfasts and it’s handy for lunches I pack for work. Delivery was solid, arrived when they said, nicely packed, no damage, so that part was painless. The messy bit is the account/subscription situation. I didn’t realise I’d been signed up for a membership until I scrolled past a post saying they’d stopped the subscription — super confusing. Cancelling was a proper headache: an automated bot kept steering me back toward joining with “special offers” and I had to call to get it sorted. There’s no easy cancel button on the site, which felt shady. Then when I tried to return one set, the return window rules were all over the place — the site and the rep I spoke to gave different stories about 30 vs 90 days. At first the person on the phone even tried to tell me the shorter window applied to members, which didn’t add up; after I quoted the website he changed his tune and eventually processed what I needed. So yeah, customer service felt inconsistent and a bit sales-y, like they were more interested in getting memberships than helping. I’m actually glad I kept one set because it’s useful and brightened my routine, but I’m annoyed at the experience around the membership and returns. If you shop here, watch the fine print and be ready to call — and be patient. Overall grateful it worked out for daily use, but they could definitely be clearer and less pushy.
