Yes, go to the breaker to reset a smart bulb; not ideal when you’re sore and trying to avoid bending. I did manage a workaround by setting up a small Raspberry Pi to act as a bridge to HomeKit — if a one-person hack can make it reasonably reliable, I don’t get why the official bridge can’t.
There are moments when it’s fine — controls are smooth and the automations are neat — but those moments are punctuated by random failures and long waits for support. If your mobility depends on consistent lighting, be cautious. If you’re tinkering and patient (and can set up a Raspberry Pi), you might limp along. Otherwise, this whole setup feels like it needs a serious firmware/QA focus before I’d recommend it without caveats.
