Refund finally landed

Returns & Refunds

It clicked the day the refund showed up on my PayPal. I had been waiting a long time. I’d refused the delivery after speaking with customer service. The parcel was sent back via UPS and tracking showed delivery to sender. This order was for equipment I was going to use in a small home reno. I needed it in daily life. Waiting without answers was frustrating. I opened tickets and chased support several times. I even started paying interest on the PayPal credit while this dragged on. After a lot of back-and-forth, and a firm follow-up, the money was finally reversed. That’s the moment I felt satisfied. It wasn’t fast. Communication was poor. It wasn’t smooth. But the outcome came through. I’d still like clearer timelines and faster handling next time. Keep records of everything. If you’re doing something similar, be prepared to push. Order ref PHGB9000669669. Ticket 6740119. Overall it works, just expect delays and do not assume prompt service.

Hub purchase went sideways

Checkout

check what features are really included and look for a clear cancellation option before you click buy. Little things like that save you time and headache. Still, the product itself looked fine in photos, but the customer side was a mess — felt like they just pushed the parcel out the door.

Small relief after a rocky start

Communication

would they help? Would the discount they offered even work? I didn’t rush to use it because my bridge was full at the time, but when the new Pro Bridge launched and could handle more gear I went to apply the discount and it just... failed. Frustrating.
I tried the email channel, got an auto-reply and a ticket number, then crickets for a while. I followed up a couple times, even phoned, and was told someone was looking into it and I’d hear back. That waiting made me wary — I almost thought I’d have to eat the cost. Then, after posting a bit more firmly on another site, someone finally reached out over WhatsApp and gave me a fresh code to use within three months. Honestly, that made my day. The whole experience went from “not sure this is worth it” to “okay, that worked out” — I feel relieved and actually glad I stuck with it.
First impressions were messy, service was slow at first, but the end result solved my issue and I’m happy I can use the new bridge now. Would’ve preferred quicker communication, but I’m grateful they followed through in the end. If you’re thinking twice because of similar stories, keep that in mind — persistence helped me, and the final fix was solid.

A light switch moment

Product

a mix of colour ambience in the living spaces and white ambience in the bedrooms and hallway. First night, I went straight for the colours just to mess around. The blues and ambers looked great, kinda fanciful but in a cozy way. That playful “oh neat” feeling turned into real usefulness when winter hit and dusk shows up at 4:30.

Living room lights with a mind of their own

Product

switches will sometimes flip lights in other rooms, or a light will just stop responding until I flip the breaker at the circuit box. Yes, go to the breaker to reset a smart bulb; not ideal when you’re sore and trying to avoid bending. I did manage a workaround by setting up a small Raspberry Pi to act as a bridge to HomeKit — if a one-person hack can make it reasonably reliable, I don’t get why the official bridge can’t.
There are moments when it’s fine — controls are smooth and the automations are neat — but those moments are punctuated by random failures and long waits for support. If your mobility depends on consistent lighting, be cautious. If you’re tinkering and patient (and can set up a Raspberry Pi), you might limp along. Otherwise, this whole setup feels like it needs a serious firmware/QA focus before I’d recommend it without caveats.
