Hot Topic - Reviews and experiences

I bought a hoodie from the store recently and man, was I let down by the whole thing. I was told it would come in a month, but it got delayed till May-June without any heads up. When I tried to get in touch about the delay in March, the customer service just gave me a vague answer saying it would come that month. After waiting for a while, I checked the order status only to find out it got cancelled without me knowing on April 23rd. That lack of communication and transparency is not cool, and the customer service I got was not up to par. I asked about a refund but haven't heard back from Hot Topic yet. I'm super disappointed with how they handled this and I won't be ordering from them again. I might even talk to a lawyer if I don't get my money back soon. My trust in Hot Topic is totally gone, and I'll make sure to warn my buddies about shopping on their site in the future.

I just bought something from this store thinking they had it in stock, but turns out it was actually on pre-sale. I was pretty annoyed when I found out they couldn't cancel it right away, and the only choice was to return it later. Wish I had checked the reviews beforehand. This whole thing was a letdown and made me feel like I got tricked.

I bought this awesome black band shirt online, but when it came, it was the wrong size. I was really disappointed! I called customer service, but they just made a note on my account and said they couldn't help because it might cost them money. Seriously?! I'm just a kid trying to show my support for my favorite band, come on!
