Handle drama, mostly sorted

Service

expensive brand, promises everywhere, etc. So I emailed Garrett Wade (short version: they asked for proof of purchase — I had no invoice, it was a gift — and at first there was little help). I was annoyed, yeah. But then after I sent photos and a mildly sarcastic follow-up (okay, very sarcastic), someone offered to replace the head and gave return instructions. Not flawless service, but they fixed it. The loppers now feel reliable again; still watching that telescoping bit, though. Glad it's sorted for now, mostly.

Gift kit hiccup, but good service in the end

Service

I got a phone call from a really professional rep who actually listened. They admitted the sheath had been out of stock and apologized, and instead of more vague promises they arranged to ship the missing piece quickly and even sent me a tracking link. It was a surprise to see that level of ownership, honestly — they followed up twice and one of the messages cleared up the messy earlier info. Delivery timing wasn't perfect, so if you need everything on a strict schedule plan for a buffer, but their customer service made up for the hiccup. I appreciated the straightforwardness in the end, and the sheath did arrive sooner than I feared. Would I recommend? Yes, especially if you care that someone will pick up the phone and sort things out when something goes sideways. Small imperfections aside, the overall experience turned from annoying into pleasantly handled.

Paring knife purchase

Service

I recently bought a paring knife and noticed some stains on the blade after just one use, even though I regularly oil my knives. I was pretty disappointed about it. So I decided to contact customer service and share my concerns. Surprisingly, within 24 hours, Garrett Wade got back to me and admitted that this wasn't a common issue and was probably a defect in the knife. They quickly offered to send me a new knife without needing me to return the old one. And within a week, I got the new blade, which I'm happy to say hasn't stained at all. I'm really impressed with Garrett Wade's dedication to making sure customers are happy and standing behind their products. Other companies should definitely take notes from them.

Order cancellation issue

Service

I just had a problem with an item I ordered by mistake and tried to cancel right away. But the company wouldn't listen to me. They said they couldn't do anything once the order was in the warehouse, even though it hadn't been sent out yet. I was really let down by the customer service I got.
