Small robot, big letdown

Service

arrived on schedule, box intact and no surprises there. The problems started after maybe 30 runs (roughly 60 hours in my routine of daily kitchen touch-ups and hallway cleanups). It kept getting stuck under the same low cabinet and ignored the no-go lines I set up. Annoying, but fixable with a temporary barrier. Then the water system went sideways — dock kept pooling while refilling, mop would dry mid-cycle, and the only way to keep it going was babysitting a refill every ten minutes and breaking rooms into tiny segments. Clunky.
Mechanically it deteriorated too: mop latch jammed so you can’t even clean it properly. The app stopped recognising rooms, and the robot started spinning or wandering instead of heading home. Factory reset bricked it outright — app wanted a password reset but never sent the verification code. Support was the worst part: canned replies, different “solutions” that didn’t work, and a ticking timer about case closure. They mentioned warranty but then it turned out only units bought directly from the manufacturer are covered. That was a surprise — felt like being shuffled off the warranty cliff.
One unexpectedly positive detail: when it worked, the suction and the mop pattern were surprisingly effective on pet hair and snack crumbs. Small bright spot. Overall, if you want reliable delivery and a decent out-of-box experience, fine. But if you need ongoing support or long-term reliability, be prepared to waste time.

Does the job, but not flawlessly

Product

saves me hauling a ladder and means I actually clean windows more often, which I appreciate. It's not perfect though — edging and corners need help, and water spots sometimes stay after one pass. Support was... slow and a bit circular. I answered the same questions a couple of times and got standard troubleshooting steps; no quick fix from them, but they did follow up once with a few extra tips. So overall: not a miracle worker, but not useless either. I'm relieved it was worth keeping for some jobs, and would suggest you temper expectations and plan a bit of manual touch-up. Also, the build feels reassuringly solid and the suction noise is noticeable but not annoying; it saves me time on Sundays.

Delivery was fine, everything after that wasn't

I first noticed this Deebot at a buddy’s place — looked neat and he swore by it, so I ordered one myself. Delivery actually showed up on time, well packed and intact, which I appreciated because shipping big things can be a headache. The robot worked okay for a few months, then it just stopped responding; app wouldn’t connect and the unit felt like a brick. I called customer support and the rep I got was not helpful — basic troubleshooting, interrupting me, and eventually the call ended abruptly. Their warranty “fix” is that I have to find a big, sturdy box, pack the heavy machine myself and ship it back, then wait weeks for a repair. No pickup, no replacement while it’s gone, no real ownership from them for a unit that failed early. So yeah, thumbs up for the delivery and packaging, but service and the returns process left me frustrated. I told the friend who recommended it to hold off, and I’ll mention this on the forum so others know what to expect. Glad the delivery went smoothly though, or it would have been even worse.

Almost didn’t buy it — glad I tried, but ugh, mixed feelings

I almost talked myself out of buying an Ecovacs mower because I’d heard mixed stuff about reliability, but the marketing looked great and the features seemed perfect for my tiny yard. First few weeks were actually awesome — quiet, easy set-up, and it handled my 90 m² lawn like a champ. So I was pretty happy, really. Then, after about six months, the first unit stopped working. Fine, they sent an O800 as a replacement, and I thought “okay, problem solved” — but that one died after only two months and roughly 31 mowing runs, just spinning on the spot. That was disappointing, no sugarcoating it. On the plus side, I’ve been emailing Uros and they seem willing to help, which gives me hope. I’m sending the mower in for repair now; if it keeps breaking I’ll seek a refund through my bank. Overall I like the idea and the early performance, but the repeat failures have left me cautious.
