Mid-playlist silence

Returns & Refunds

I was midway through a playlist when the DAC just stopped — about six months old (great timing, right?). Apos.audio handled RMA quickly, which was nice, but then told me I'd wrecked it with a firmware update I never did. Topping wouldn't answer emails. Frustrating, but the unit sounded so good that I'm grudgingly willing to try another one.

A messy warranty saga — buyer beware

Returns & Refunds

I regret buying this amp and I wouldn’t trust their warranty. I mainly got the Topping PA5 for everyday stuff — morning jazz while making coffee, background for work calls, and an occasional late-night cranked-up track — and it did the job at first, honestly. Then it failed twice in basically the same way, months apart, and that’s when the fun began (not). Shipping took forever originally, which I could live with since it came from overseas, but they never mentioned the delay up front and the promised ship-by date came and went. First break: sent it back, they fixed/replace it but I paid shipping. Fine. Fast-forward a few months, same failure. Forums showed I wasn’t the only one, so yeah, feels like a design issue. Sent it back again, then crickets for weeks until I chased them. They asked me to pay shipping again, then gave me a coupon while claiming it was out of stock. Cue automated “buy now” messages — dozens. Eventually they said a blue unit might work or wait months for black; I waited, then they told me black was discontinued. I asked for a refund; after nagging them they offered 85% store credit, no cash, and then they stalled some more. It’s been weeks with barely any clear resolution. I still like how it sounded when it worked (that’s why I kept at it), but the way the company handled the warranty, the non-existent restock and the pushy bots left a pretty sour taste. If you need something reliable for daily listening, I’d look elsewhere.

Slow start, decent finish

Returns & Refunds

I first noticed this on a colleague's desk and figured I'd give it a go. At first it was a mess — slow replies, had to nag them, and they wanted me to pay shipping both ways when the unit failed within days. The device itself feels solid, not flimsy, buttons are tactile and it sits nice in the hand for daily stuff. After a few reminders they eventually processed the return/refund, so I was relieved — still, the whole thing was annoyingly slow and prices feel high.

Wireless earbuds

Returns & Refunds

I bought a pair of wireless earbuds from this store, and they conked out on me after just two weeks. When I asked for a refund, they flat out said no. Don't waste your time with this store - you'll only get ripped off and stuck with no backup.

Broken Topping Pa5

Returns & Refunds

So, I ordered this thing back in December and it honestly took forever to get here all the way from China. And you know what's crazy? A few months later, it broke! I mean, can you believe it? Such a waste of my hard-earned money. So, I sent it back hoping they could fix it, but turns out it's defective and apparently, lots of other people are having the same problem. I had to pay for shipping AGAIN, which was just super annoying, and then they took ages to even start working on it. And then, get this, they tell me it's out of stock and try to offer me a different color - like, no thanks? Finally, they have the nerve to tell me they can't even get me a replacement because it's been discontinued. Like seriously, what kind of company pulls a move like that? All I want is my money back, but they're dragging their feet in responding. It's just been one big headache dealing with them, I swear.
