The magnifier and light hit the spot I needed and suddenly all those tiny stitches stopped being a mystery. It’s funny — the packaging and the delivery gave me a few grey hairs, the tracking was vague and the box looked like it had been on a rough trip, but once I set it up at my little craft corner the worry melted away. The lens had a couple of smudges and fingerprints when I opened it — probably from being handled before — so I wiped it down and that was it. The glass is clear, the magnification actually helps, and the lamp’s angle is exactly what I want when I’m leaning over a pattern or sorting tiny beads for jewellery making. I use it every evening now, for reading fine print too, and it’s become one of those weirdly indispensable things on my desk. I do wish the seller had been more on top of shipping info; I assumed it was local but it turned out to come from abroad, which explains the delay. Customer service wasn’t super proactive, but once the item finally got here I didn’t feel like fighting over returns — it works, and that counts for a lot. The build feels solid enough for daily use; the switch is straightforward and it’s not one of those fiddly, overcomplicated gadgets. I kept the unit because it does what I need and saves my eyes, simple as that. I’m grateful it performed well after the anxious wait. If they tightened up their packing and gave clearer dispatch notices, this would be a no-brainer five-star buy. As it stands I’m happy, pleasantly surprised even, and using it almost every day which says more than any email from customer service ever could.
