everything arrived fast and neatly packed — ordered Tuesday, on my bench Friday. I opened a support ticket because I’d seen mixed reviews and wanted to check shipping details; they answered in under 24 hours and followed up by email, which calmed me down. The gear itself feels good for the price. The LED is bright and the arm is solid, but the focusing rack is a bit weak; a light touch will shift it, so you have to be careful. The moment I knew I was happy was when I mounted my Zeiss 305 head and it held steady during a full session. Not perfect, but a good buy.

The microscope kit I got for my 8-year-old boy is a real winner. He's really into it, loving checking out all the samples on the slides. It's awesome seeing him so interested and pretending he's a scientist or detective. It's a nice change from all the electronic gadgets and screens, sparking his curiosity about the world.

So I ordered these 2 darkfield condensers from Amscope and man, they are terrible. No matter what I do, they just won't work. I tried reaching out to their customer service and let me tell you, they were no help at all. They straight up lied to me about the quality of their products. I even showed them proof that the parts were messed up, but they brushed it off like it was no big deal. It's beyond frustrating! I wasted a ton of money on these parts and now I have to sell the whole microscope for a loss. Never again will I buy from them. Ended up getting a Leica DM2000 from the UK instead, and it works like a charm. Lesson learned.

I got this super pricey microscope from here, but the 40X part is acting wonky. They didn't want to send me a new one unless I paid for the shipping, which totally sucks. The camera on it is terrible, the pictures are all fuzzy, and they don't have any good software to fix that. The folks working there didn't even bother to help me out, so I'm pretty disappointed.
