I surprise myself by saying a sentence in Chinese at work and people actually understand me — so it did stick, which is the weird nice part in all this chaos.
But here's the thing I want to harp on: the login/renewal loop. Click renew, it logs you out. Try to buy a new subscription, it recognises your email and asks you to log in. Log in, and you’re back where you started. I probably tried this more than I should admit. There’s an odd feeling — like the site is playing keep-away with your money. Even worse, the program remembers my old progress (levels 1–5 saved), yet somehow expects me to pay again to "continue". Greedy? Glitch? Who knows. Resetting progress is impossible; you can't easily tell where you left off, which makes using it alongside my live lessons clumsy.
Customer support is basically a myth. When you do get a person, it's not terribly helpful — apologies, but no solution. That’s frustrating because the content is useful during my commute and actually helped with pronunciation (speech-recognition surprised me a few times by being helpful). So there's potential here, real value, but the account/subscription experience is the part that ruins it.
If they fixed the login flow and made progress management honest, I’d come back in a heartbeat. As it stands: useful product trapped inside a maddening sales/account maze. Use it if you already have it, but buying fresh? Think twice.
