That moment I breathed out
That moment I breathed out
CommunicationI bought the lifetime Rosetta Stone because I’d used it years ago and it felt like great value for how I study languages in bits and pieces between work and walks. It has the lesson variety, stories and videos — all the stuff I like — but this time it just didn’t click with how I learn. So I decided to cancel within the 30-day guarantee and honestly, getting to that calm moment was a roller coaster. The website makes buying easy, too easy maybe, but contacting them? The phone numbers on the UK site didn’t work, and the chat kept dropping me to an email suggestion — very odd. I was genuinely worried it might be impossible to get my money back, which is annoying when the subscription felt like a good deal. The good bit: the email route did work. I sent the refund request and they processed it the same day. That same-day response is what turned my frustration into relief — I actually felt reassured, like, okay they’re real and they do honour the guarantee. So overall: product wasn’t right for my learning style this time, ordering was straightforward, customer contact was frustrating except for the email which saved the day. Small emotional win at the end, but they should fix those phone and chat options — saves others the extra stress.
All language learning package
All language learning package
CommunicationI just bought the all language learning package, thinking it would be great for my whole family to use. Turns out, it's only for one person. They didn't make that clear in the FAQ, so it was confusing. I had to ask for a refund, but at least they gave it to me. Also, the online version isn't as good as the old CD ROMs, and the pictures on the mobile app are too small. Overall, I wasn't happy with this product.
About Rosetta Stone
Rosetta Stone Inc. is an education technology company based in the United States that specializes in language learning software and services. Founded in 1992 by Allen Stoltzfus and named after the ancient artifact that had unlocked the secrets of Egyptian hieroglyphics for linguists, the company has aimed to harness technology to facilitate language learning. Rosetta Stone's proprietary software uses interactive exercises and immersion techniques to help users learn new languages without translations or memorization of vocabulary lists. Over the years, it has expanded its offerings to include programs for 30 languages and serves individuals, educational institutions, and corporations worldwide. The company's approach is based on simulating a natural language-learning experience, much like how a child learns to speak, through recognizing patterns and intuitive associations between images and meanings.
