Italian language course
Italian language course
QualityThe Italian language course I bought was kind of a letdown. The conversations were fast and not clear enough, which made it hard to catch what was being said. Plus, the audio quality wasn't great, making it even more frustrating to keep up with the lessons. I think having transcripts available could have made things better, but they don't offer that. It's too bad because the course could be really good if they fixed these things.

QualityEven though the product wasn't as good as I had hoped in terms of quality, the customer service and the whole ordering and delivery process were actually pretty good. I felt like the website and customer service didn't really match the product quality - it just didn't work for me after the free trial. The customer service folks were nice, but it felt like they didn't really know what they were doing. It ended up taking me three whole days just to set up my account and figure out how to use the product.
Language learning program
Language learning program
QualityThe language learning program works really well for improving speaking skills, but sometimes the lessons are way too long and get pretty boring. I think if they updated the program with a more modern approach, it would be a lot more effective and engaging. Right now, it seems kind of outdated and could really use a big update to stay current with what's happening in language education.
Castilian Spanish course purchase

QualityThe sound quality is really bad, making it hard to understand and not very clear. The guy speaking speaks too fast and mumbles words together, and the lady sometimes says phrases too quickly. Lots of words and phrases are wrong, and sometimes they're pronounced in Latin American Spanish instead of Castilian Spanish. They don't give you a booklet with translations, so it's tough to figure out the poorly pronounced words. The fact that customer service hasn't responded after I told them about these problems says a lot about the company. The way the course is set up is good, but I had to spend hours fixing the audio files to make it sound better and correct the glitches.

QualityThis course was kinda disappointing, eh. It did an okay job of teaching me the basics of the language, but it didn't really help much with having real conversations or getting my pronunciation down. Plus, there was no search feature so I couldn't go back to review stuff easily, which was super annoying. The booklet didn't line up with the lessons and the material was confusing at times. Overall, the lack of grammar explanations was a big downside, eh. I ended up switching to a different language learning platform and it's been way better, eh.
Recent Hungarian Program Purchase

QualityI just got back from a trip to Budapest and I was so impressed by how well I could talk to people after only 13 lessons with the Hungarian program. I could say hello, order food and drinks, ask for directions, shop, and even have some casual chats. My Hungarian pals even complimented my accent, which really boosted my confidence. I've used Pimsleur for languages like Italian, Irish Gaelic, Cantonese, Icelandic, and Dutch when I travel, and I love how they focus on real-life conversations and pronunciation rather than just grammar and vocabulary words. Give it a shot and see how it can make your travel adventures even better!
Language learning program

QualityI got this language learning app because I wanted to be like a language pro. At first, it was awesome and I felt super smart picking up all these new words. But then, it started getting kind of dull and I stopped feeling like I was actually learning much. The beginner levels were fine, but then I was just like, "What's even the point?" I've completed loads of levels in different languages, but still can't hold a proper conversation. It would be great if they could give more explanations, you know?
Free Ukrainian course review
Free Ukrainian course review
QualityI just checked out the free Ukrainian course from this company and I gotta say, it was pretty helpful. The audio recordings were really clear and the speakers talked at a good speed - easy to keep up with. But I had a tough time with some sounds that aren't in my usual languages. It would've been nice to have a section to help with that for people in the same boat as me. Even with that hiccup, I still think the course was great for practicing my Ukrainian speaking and listening skills.
Beginner language learning program
Beginner language learning program
QualityAs a newbie trying to pick up a new language, I gotta say, the way this program teaches seems kind of old-fashioned and basic compared to other options out there. They don't really dive deep into different topics or offer much variety, which can be a bit of a bummer for someone starting from zero.
