Not sold at first
Not sold at first
Skeptical, then it nailed my daily coffee runs
Mid-show billing surprise
Mid-show billing surprise
I was mid-show—charged anyway; they should warn.
Mostly solid, honestly
Mostly solid, honestly
Used it every morning for two weeks; feels solid, a bit basic, does what I need — glad it actually works, honestly.
Paid, then silence
Paid, then silence
Saw them on Facebook, tipped a buddy, paid — no delivery, no replies, bit annoyed
Auto-renewal surprise, sorted
Auto-renewal surprise, sorted
unwanted auto-renewal charge, but it ended up resolved. I complained, waved the UK rules and asked for a refund — they returned the money. Was sceptical at first (other apps lost my trust), but meh, decent outcome.
When they finally replied
When they finally replied
Missed the renewal email and got annoyed. I started using it a month earlier. Support replied next day and refunded me — that's when I relaxed.
Paid, blocked, refunded
Paid, blocked, refunded
Stumbled on this app from a friend's tip (blame my sister). Paid for subscription but most books were locked — annoying. Support actually cancelled and refunded quickly, so eh, glad it ended fine.
Quietly useful but billing messy
Quietly useful but billing messy
Halfway through the trial I was unsure — needed quick summaries while moving and with bad back. Skeptical at first, then useful; billing hiccups stayed, but content helped after all.
Strange unexpected charge
Strange unexpected charge
I got the box yesterday — odd because I cancelled years ago. They still billed me $99 out of the blue, so I'm disputing it. Delivery was actually fast and the driver left it where I need it for weekday lunches. Customer support started a ticket, so fingers crossed.
Fast delivery, sticky renewal situation
Fast delivery, sticky renewal situation
I first spotted this on my buddy's Instagram and tipped another friend. Delivery was impressively quick and tidy, I actually liked that. But it auto-renewed with no heads-up, and my 24-hour refund request was ignored.
Strange start, okay finish
Strange start, okay finish
Paid for a 'premium' upgrade, got only the daily free bit at first, thought I’d been shortchanged. Contacted support, they fixed the access and delivery was on time, so I'm kinda okay.
Worth it, but watch the billing
Worth it, but watch the billing
I got charged twice and had to sort it with my bank (annoying). Service itself is solid though, features and content are great. Just double-check payment settings and keep an eye on renewals.
Almost didn't bother, glad I did
Almost didn't bother, glad I did
I almost skipped this after a buddy warned me (said "avoid"), but I tried the trial. Delivery showed up on time — impressively — and customer service actually fixed a billing hiccup without drama. Took a bit to trust them, still a little wary, also saw them on Instagram so yeah, weirdly convincing.
Unauthorized renewal, meh

Summaries work, support doesn't

quick replies that sounded like they hadn't read my messages, sometimes kinda curt or clearly templated, and when I tried to explain my side they stopped responding. Been using them a couple of years — that felt off. Bit disappointed, I won't be back or recommending.
Kinda clever reader, shady subscription
Kinda clever reader, shady subscription
clean layout, easy on the eyes, and it nicely remembers where you left off — that actually surprised me in a good way. But then the subscription mess hit: auto-renew is on by default and the settings are buried, so turning it off felt like digging through a maze. I had to hunt for "cancel subscription" and felt like, wait, am I cancelling a paid year? Customer support gave me canned replies, no real help. So, solid for the reading experience, annoying for the rest. I tell people about the app, but I always add the "don’t forget to check settings" heads-up.
Small win, messy billing

neat, concise content and the app is simple. Then I noticed an unexpected charge after the trial. Support wrote back quickly with refund options and said they'd process it, which eased my worry, but four days later no refund and no follow-up despite chasing. So content? pretty good; billing follow-through? not great. Learn from me: watch the trial end.
A sneaky renewal, then a surprise
A sneaky renewal, then a surprise
handy. Then it auto-renewed without a clear email. I was ready to throw my laptop out. Short, snarky messages back and forth. I told my sister not to bother yet. But after a frustrating couple of days a rep stepped in, sorted the charge and gave a refund. Not flawless. Took too long. Still, ended better than I expected. Lesson learned: check billing settings and don’t assume silence means consent.
Not worth the headache
Not worth the headache
skip the free trial unless you enjoy phone-sweating over mysterious charges — I got billed twice and it’s been a long, annoying puddle of back-and-forth since. I grabbed the trial last year because I thought it might shave a few minutes off my morning routine — you know, the usual: coffee, lunch prep, trying to get out the door without forgetting a water bottle or a lunch box. In the brief time I actually used the app it helped a bit, but nothing earth-shattering. I used it for maybe a day, decided it wasn’t for me, hit cancel, and went on with life.
Little hiccup, big help
Little hiccup, big help
a few bumps at the start, short-lived stress, then helpful customer service and reliable delivery that made the whole thing worth it for my commuting, back-friendly routine.
