Almost didn't buy it

TasteI actually hesitated for weeks before ordering — didn’t know if an alcohol-free spirit would feel real or just be sugar water. I’d gone alcohol-free for almost three years (needed to break bad habits and stop those awful hangovers) and worried I’d feel left out socially. Turns out GABA Spirits made the transition way easier. The Black flavour with ginger is my go-to (weirdly brilliant). I got the 3-bottle bundle and even set up a subscription — it's cheaper and less fuss. My doubts faded; I'm more relaxed at gatherings now, still sober, still enjoying drinks.

Servicethe drinks are decent but I wouldn’t rely on a subscription — too pricey and the site makes it a headache. The black one is a nice bedtime sip and the yellow is pleasantly mellow, just small bottles though. I cancelled a subscription and it still showed up, and adding an extra bottle to an existing plan was basically impossible unless I paid the single-bottle price. I’ve had smoother subscriptions with other companies, so I’ll keep this as an occasional thing rather than a forever option.

TasteI'm sold — I honestly prefer Sentia over a glass of wine most evenings. I grabbed the 3-pack (gold, black, red) and the gold is my go-to for winding down, really mellow. The black surprised me with a peppery, spicy note that I actually like, though I can't vouch for mood changes. Haven't opened the red yet — those once-opened dates matter — so I'm pacing it. Had a hiccup with the original order, which happens, but customer service fixed it quickly and was nice to deal with, much better than some other vendors I've tried. Already reordered more gold. Feels a bit indulgent and responsible at once; recommend giving it a shot if you're curious. Also saved me from reaching for sweets sometimes, too.
Missing the small bottles
Missing the small bottles
Packaginga little buzz, feels fancier than soda or a NA beer, and the flavour is bold (I actually like it). The move from 200 ml to 500 ml is annoying though — more sediment, shorter shelf-life, and it's clumsy for an occasional drink. Delivery was fast and the driver was friendly, and when I emailed customer service they answered properly and didn’t dodge anything. Not flawless, but it does the job; just bring back the smaller size and we’re golden.

QualityWoke up with a sort of hangover even though I hadn't been drinking — the weird part. I’ve been sipping the GABA drinks in the evenings to calm down after work and fall asleep, and while they arrived fast and plastic-free (I appreciated that), the next-morning thing keeps happening. The in-the-moment effect is almost nil for me — just a tiny mellowing — but the following day I get a dry mouth and a headache that feels like I overdid it. First time was after the gold one, last night I tried the red and same story. I’m sensitive to caffeine and odd ingredients, so maybe it’s me, but three tries and three mornings of the same symptom feel more than coincidence. I’m thankful it isn’t worse and that the packaging was thoughtful, but I’m bummed because I wanted this to be a simple nightly ritual. Not sure if I’ll risk trying again.
Mixed bag, but the drink wins

Communicationthe drink itself is a win, the rest felt like a bit of a juggling act. I ordered a three-spirit bundle plus the stout because I wanted something different for weekend chill-outs at home. When the box arrived I found only one spirit and the stout. The delivery note matched that. My order tracker, though, cheerfully claimed the whole order was done and dusted. That’s when I got annoyed and a bit puzzled. I emailed—no auto-reply, nada. The website chat was also dead, no AI bot, no live person. Classic small-company teething problems, I thought. Then, to their credit, a customer service agent did get back to me and said the rest was on the way. A relief. The remaining bottle did turn up eventually, but the tracker never got the memo and kept saying everything was delivered. I waited, refreshed the link more times than I should admit. What surprised me, and pleasantly so, was how much I liked the spirit—way nicer than the usual alcohol-free botanical stuff I've tried at friends’ places. It sat well with a late-night board game and even got a few compliments. So yeah: tasty product, awkward order handling and communication. If you want the drink, give them a shot, but be ready to chase the tracking if things go sideways. And a heads-up to the company: be clearer about what’s shipped and what’s not. Small fixes would make a big difference.
