Returned package, poor follow-up
Returned package, poor follow-up
ServiceI was halfway making a cup of coffee when I remembered I’d placed an order — everything went smoothly at first, so I wasn’t worried. Then the tracking showed the parcel had been sent back to the sender. I emailed customer service right away asking what to do and was told there was nothing to do until they actually received it. Fine, I thought, reasonable. Meanwhile I rang the carrier (USPS) and they said there was nothing wrong with my address, no reason it shouldn’t have been delivered. A few weeks later I get an email saying they’d received the return and I could either pay $3.75 to have it resent or take a partial refund of $7.50 on a ~$20 order. I asked them to waive the reship fee since the delivery fault wasn’t mine and I had entered my address correctly. That’s when things went sideways. Customer service insisted they wouldn’t refund anything until USPS “owned up” to their mistake. Huh. So I’m supposed to cover a delivery mess that wasn’t my fault? Then they actually charged me $7.50 for the reshipment — which is not what they’d told me — and when I pushed back they downplayed it as “a mere charge of $3.75.” I sent photos of the address I used, pieces of mail that match, and a bank statement showing the charge. Still a lot of back-and-forth and zero real accountability. The product itself seemed okay, and I’ve had better experiences with other small shops that just resend and sort things out, but here the whole point of contact was slow and defensive. I get that mistakes happen, carriers mess up, whatever — but when a company treats you like the problem and focuses on squeezing a few bucks instead of fixing it, it leaves a bad taste. Not the worst shopping experience I’ve had, but I won’t be ordering from them again unless their service improves.
