Gold card
Gold card
CardI recently bought a gold card from OpenSky while I was on vacation in Florida. I signed up for the card and they sent it to me while I was still on vacation. But when I got home, five weeks later, I was totally surprised to see a $90 charge on my account, plus late fees and penalties. What really got me riled up was that the card hadn't even been activated yet, so it felt like I got ripped off. Definitely a case of buyer beware, that's for sure.
Credit card experience
Credit card experience
CardThis credit card was a disaster, eh. I signed up hoping to improve my credit, but it turned into a nightmare, I tell ya. I put in $300 to start, which was more than usual, thinking that was a good move. But even though I was making big payments every month, my balance just wouldn't go down. I was forking over nearly $100 every month for a measly $300 limit. And when I finally decided to ditch the card, they not only kept my $300, but also hit me with $100 in fees, can you believe it? This card won't help you rebuild credit at all; it just takes your dough without giving anything back. Just a heads up, the credit limit is based on your deposit, and they won't boost it.
