CommunicationSo, like, I was waiting for a review for a few days, eh, and I didn't hear anything until I had to call them myself. Pretty annoying, you know? But once I gave them a ring, they sorted it out real quick. I just wish they had reached out to me first, you know? Other than that, everything else was great! Thanks, Masterworks!
Art investment, diversification, returns, pressure
Art investment, diversification, returns, pressure
CommunicationAs someone who's been around the investment block a few times, I thought I'd mix things up and dive into the art investment scene. My time at Masterworks was awesome, and I'm excited to be part of this interesting market now. What really sells me on it is the potential for some pretty nice double-digit returns each year, which played a big part in my choice to put more money into it down the line. The only hitch for me was being pushed to invest up to 48K right out of the gate. Being a savvy investor, I like to mull things over and make choices without feeling like I have to act in a rush.
About Masterworks
Masterworks is a company that offers individuals the opportunity to invest in shares of fine art. Founded in 2017 by CEO Scott Lynn, it operates by purchasing artwork, then creating an LLC for each piece and filing an offering with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, allowing investors to buy shares in the artwork, much like stock in a company. This model aims to make investing in high-value art accessible to a broader range of investors, beyond the traditionally wealthy. By providing this platform, Masterworks allows for the democratization of art investment, offering potential financial returns while also engaging with the cultural and aesthetic values of the art world.
