Still waiting, three months on

Cancellation

still waiting on my refund — three months and counting. I asked for refunds on two tickets in March (one for my friend who's registered disabled, the other for my dad, a state pensioner) and at first I assumed it would be straightforward. First impression: polite email, promising 'processing' — that optimism didn’t last. I supplied hired machinery during the stadium's build, so it stings that the ticket team moves slower than a crane on a bad day. They owe at least interest on the £100 tickets and a proper apology. Frustrating, and honestly a bit embarrassing.

Unexpected seat mix-up

On-site

someone in our seats with what looked like fake tickets, and the stewards basically shrugged — said there wasn’t much to be done, buy new seats or leave. We were stunned; I actually got teary. The help desk staff, Charmaine and Chris, stepped in. Calm, patient, they found better seats and sorted the ticket delivery faster than we expected. It wasn’t perfect — stressful and took a while — but their customer service really saved the night. If it happens to you, go straight to the help desk and ask for names; it helps. Wish they were quicker overall, but I'm grateful.

Half a gig, half a walk

On-site

30. So I ended up racing there (fifteen minutes, uphill in trainers — not ideal), handed over my pack mid-gig and missed the best bit. Felt like being outfoxed by small print. The bag locker option felt more like a scavenger hunt than a service. Wish they’d be clearer at checkout or just have a cloakroom at the arena. Still a decent night, but next time I’ll travel light or bring a fanny pack.

A night that was great in parts, messy in others

On-site

I almost didn't buy the tickets because I kept worrying about the crowd — I'm a carer and was taking two people with disabilities (one physical, one cognitive) and the thought of being stuck in crush-hour made me pause. In the end I went ahead and I'm glad we saw the band because the show itself was brilliant and the access team inside were so helpful, honest to God. Booking was surprisingly simple too, and I liked being able to talk to a real person so we got seats that actually worked for both of them. That said, the rest was a mixed bag. No priority queues at food or drink stands was annoying, and there were zero low- or no-alcohol options at the bars which is a real oversight for some folks. The exit was the worst — lifts left unmanned, few signs pointing to accessible routes, and we ended up shoved into a huge crowd just trying to get to the station. Staff in the park to direct people would have helped a lot. So yeah, not perfect and it stressed me out, but the gig itself and the stadium staff inside made it worth going — just needs better planning for getting people out safely.

Sound was the show-stealer (in a bad way)

On-site

decent performance, frustrating delivery.

Last-minute nerves that mostly disappeared

Communication

I was pretty unsure before I bought the ticket. I’d managed to grab a single seat to a gig I’d been waiting on for years, but all the accessible/wheelchair tickets were already gone. I’d just come out of surgery, was still on crutches and couldn’t walk far, so yeah — worried is an understatement. I phoned the stadium’s accessible help line more out of necessity than optimism. They were calm, direct and basically told me what I needed to do step by step, which helped.
