Decent eSIM after a rough start
Decent eSIM after a rough start
Needed it for a work trip after my usual roaming plan failed. Setup was fiddly and needed a couple tries, but once it worked data was reliable and even got better. Would’ve appreciated tips to save data — I burn through mine way faster than my partner.
Worked eventually, but patchy signal

I bought the eSIM and the app worked smoothly — the moment an urgent email finally sent and I could relax, I knew it was worth it. Coverage outside the city was spotty though, so I relied on shaky hotel Wi‑Fi. Support was helpful, but I wish rural signal was better, or at least clearer maps.

InstallationHalfway through my trip I was still wrestling with the eSIM setup. I started using it the day I flew out, and first impression was frustrating. Spent hours on calls, went through a bot and a line of reps, none of them really fixed it; eventually I dug through settings and got it working late that evening. Once connected it was fine — reliable data, no hiccups — but losing a day and holiday time to setup was annoying and a bit stressful. Not perfect, but usable.

ServiceHalfway through our trip I was cursing and then laughing a bit — my eSIM worked fine but my husband’s never did. We were nervous before buying, saw mixed reviews, still went for it. He spent ages on the phone with support; they suggested a few things, nothing fixed it. Weirdly one rep was really patient and helpful, which surprised me. The refund process became a paperwork mess and we never got the money back. Kinda disappointing after I’d told friends it was good.

StabilityOn the plane I was honestly second-guessing the whole idea. I bought it thinking it might be flaky abroad. Turns out I could not have been more wrong. First test was right after landing. I’d downloaded the eSIM at home on good Wi‑Fi like they suggested, and once I turned roaming on the connection popped up and stayed steady. There were a couple of small drops here and there, a tiny hiccup, but nothing that killed my plans. If it struggles, a quick reboot sorts it. Really glad I gave it a shot — saved me headache and worked wherever I went. And I'm thankful.

App & PortalI needed a reliable eSIM for a week-long work trip after a previous messy setup. The app was straightforward to get going. I watched the quick tutorial — worth it. Selecting the right regional eSIM mattered; some places had great data, others barely crawled. Setup felt quick though, and I was surprised how little hassle there was switching profiles. Chat help answered a dumb question fast. Not perfect, but it does the job and feels like decent value. Battery impact was pretty negligible.

Stabilityfast browsing, maps, calls on the go. But then I needed a top-up, and after installing a replacement eSIM the experience dipped: only 4G and one odd hour with no signal despite walking around downtown. So reliability can fluctuate. It still wins points for covering places others skip, like Taiwan and Laos. I'm grateful it mostly did the job, though I'd like a clearer choice of higher-reliability plans or at least a heads-up.

Communicationcanned replies, no real human option, and the closing name changed every message (weird). I asked for a refund for the Android on day two after install and got a one-line "not our fault" reply. So yeah, when it worked it was handy, but overall I lost money and a couple of hours. There are safer eSIM choices now; I won't risk this one again.
