I had a pretty bad time with this software subscription I got recently. The company's free trial wasn't what it seemed – they signed me up for a full year without me realizing, and then charged me monthly. When I tried to cancel after only a month, they slapped me with a big early termination fee. It just left me feeling so annoyed and tricked.
