High-end wheelset purchase
I recently splurged on a fancy new wheelset from Competitive Cyclist and was pretty stoked about their rewards program at first. But man, was I let down when I discovered all the limitations and restrictions it came with. I really wish they had given me a heads up about their strict rules on getting rewards for sale items before I made my purchase. Unlike other sites that give rewards even on sale stuff, Competitive Cyclist zilch you if the product's on sale, no matter how small the discount. The only way to snag rewards on sale items is by hitting this "gearhead" summit level, which means you've gotta make even more purchases. And let me tell ya, the perks at this level are not that great and seem to benefit the company more than us customers.
