the plug didn’t have the ground-fault device that legit units have (apparently that’s been standard for ages). That raised a red flag, so I tried to register the serial number with Dyson. Their response was blunt: the serial had been used multiple times and was flagged as counterfeit. At that point I stopped and contacted the seller for a return label. Multiple messages, a bit of waiting, then silence — they pretty much ghosted me. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and later opened a dispute with my credit card issuer. The surprising bit: once the card issuer was involved I got an email from the retailer within hours saying they would refund me and a few days after that they actually sent a return label. So, in the end I got my money back, which I didn’t expect once they went quiet. Still, it was a hassle, and I lost time (and confidence). For me the safety concern — the missing ground-fault device and the reused serial number — was the main issue, more than the money. If you’re buying a device you use daily and plug into the wall, that kind of thing matters. I won’t be ordering from this site again. If you decide to shop there, check serial numbers with the manufacturer and be ready to push for a refund if something feels off; don’t assume their return policy will be easy to use without escalation. Lesson learned, but not a pleasant one.
